The Payment Brand Initiatives (PBI) Execution Manager will be a part of the Payment Network Office and reside within the Acquirer Network Relations and Operations team.  This individual will be focused on all of the Acquiring initiatives that both the traditional Payment Brands (e.g. Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Discover, etc.) as well as Debit Networks (Pulse, Star, NYCE, etc.) issue regularly.  However, this candidate will also need to ensure harmony between both the Issuing as well as Acquiring initiatives requested by all of the Networks.
 
 
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the execution of the PBI quarterly releases as it relates to the development of requirements, liaising with the Payment Brands, as well as ensuring timely and accurate merchant communications.  In addition, this individual will be responsible for overseeing and reviewing all requirements to ensure clarity, intent, and thoroughness as it relates to the Payment Network changes.  The successful candidate will have the ability to lead and influence, and drive meaningful productive change within the PBI process.
 
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Oversee the establishment of the business requirements for each quarterly release, as well as play a significant role ensuring the functional requirements align with the business requirements.
  • Serve as the liaison with the Payment Brands to ensure any roadblocks to the successful completion of the requirements are cleared.
  • Ensure a strict communications schedule is followed – maintain overall calendar for communications, determine when they need to be issued, submit the necessary merchant communication requests, and ensure clarity and delivery accuracy is achieved.
  • Perform implementation validation to ensure the requested requirements have been implemented. 
  • Communication of PBI project health and status to the leadership team within the Payment Network Office.
  • Work cross functionally with the necessary departments within Chase to ensure the quarterly releases as well as other Payment Brand functionality is implemented in an efficient and least impactful way.
  • Collaborate with other LOBs within Chase to ensure harmony with Issuing and Acquiring initiatives.
  • Maintain current SOPs for the PBI process, as well as seek areas for process improvement.
  • Attend the technical conferences that the Payment Brands host that provide the upcoming release changes.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum 7+ years of leadership experience in the payments industry
  • Direct working experience with the Payment Brands (e.g. Visa, MasterCard, etc.)
  • Highly skilled with operational, project management, and process improvement acumen
