Global Supplier Services – Hubbed Operations and Transition manager – Executive Director based in London
Global Supplier Services Operations (GSSO) is a division of JPMorgan Chase. GSSO has global responsibility for the procurement, management, and payment of all vendor invoices; management of fixed assets and indirect tax; reimbursement of employee travel and entertainment expense; administration of internal staff corporate credit card programs; as well as controls and reporting of sports & entertainment tickets.
Job Description
GSSO is seeking a highly capable operations director who can manage the Global Supplier Services operations hubs across it’s various global locations. The responsibilities will include, Procurement Operations, Accounts Payable, Travel and Entertainment expense operations, Indirect tax, Reconciliation and Payment functions, Fixed Asset Operations, and pre-clearance of entertainment. The individual must have a proven track record of managing large scale diverse operations in the finance business including experience in functional transitions to captive offshore centres of BPO management. The director would work with a number of Product Managers to oversea the provision and development of the operational functions. The role is also required to develop within the region and particularly the UK, relationships with key customers. Qualifications such as a Six Sigma black belt are required due to the requirement for project management oversight and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities include
  • Leadership of remote Operational functions for Global Supplier Services. Team size of approximately 300 staff. Functions include:
    • Procurement Operations
    • Accounts Payable
    • T&E operations
    • Pre-clearance of entertainment
    • Indirect tax operations
    • Fixed Asset Operations
    • Reconciliations Operations
  • Management of Key controls and responsibility for testing.
  • Responsible for improvements to operational processes and systems
  • Contribute towards the achievement of the groups strategic and operational objectives
  • Examine financial data/statements and use them to improve profitability of the operation
  • Perform quality controls and monitor production KPI’s
  • Recruit, train, supervise and appraise human resources.
  • Manage customer feedback loops
Key Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
  • Extensive experience in business administration, accounting, finance or related field preferred
  • Proven experience as an operational manager in Accounts Payable / Procurement Operations
  • Proven experience to lead & manage high impact change projects
  • Knowledge of Corporate Card management and Travel and Entertainment claim process.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a customer service driven focus
  • Ability and flexibility to juggle staff and relationships in different time zones, working effectively cross region.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with regional clients in Finance, and Senior Country management positions.
  • Strong attention to detail
