Global Compliance Practices

Global Compliance Practices plays a critical role in the successful execution of the firm's compliance mission. The Compliance function ensures the development and maintenance of a strong compliance culture by developing and maintaining program infrastructure that identifies, measures and monitors compliance with applicable laws, regulations and rules that govern our business globally. Compliance   teams work closely with business, legal, risk, and audit functions to provide expertise on regulatory compliance matters, assess and measure compliance and related risks, and monitor and test the adequacy of the firm's compliance control environment.
Position Description
Compliance OLO is responsible for implementing the Office of Legal Obligations within the Compliance Department.  The Executive Director, Compliance Director – Compliance Office of Legal Obligations Lead will report to the Head of Global Compliance Policy, Global Compliance Regulatory Change Management & Compliance OLO and will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the Compliance Office of Legal Obligations program.


  • Help drive Compliance’s end-to-end process for managing Legal Obligations via engagement with Compliance and other Business subject matter experts to promote the central operating model and governance processes
  • Manage the Global Clearing House process to address, resolve and track the closure of complex issues
  • Assist in the implementation of a Compliance Quality Assurance program, consisting of appropriate governance procedures, metric development and forum review
  • Strategic technology Lead  for multiple platforms and applications for overall change management control and governance
  • Engage with Compliance Practice groups to determine impact of new or changed Legal Obligations on Compliance policies, training, and monitoring & testing activities
  • 10+ years experience in a control environment (such as Compliance, Legal, Risk, or Operations, functions) within a leading financial services firm or advisory firm in the industry.  BA required. JD or MBA preferred, but not required  
  • Knowledge of the regulatory framework and scope of regulatory obligations applicable to a global financial services firm
  • Past experience developing or implementing programs that seek to address regulatory changes affecting current processes within an organization
  • Past experience managing business projects with significant technology development or interfacing requirements through life cycle of project
  • Proven ability to positively and creatively influence change and champion critical change initiatives; help others to anticipate and manage through change
  • Ability to adapt within a changing environment and work effectively with multiple stakeholders from various backgrounds
  • Professional maturity and confidence in expressing a point of view with senior management
  • Strategic thinker with keen analytical skills  
  • Ability to prioritize and implement in a fast-paced environment
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel skills; knowledge of Visio and reporting software a plus
