Department Description:

The CIO/Treasury/Private Equity Global Balance Sheet P&A group is responsible for managing the Global CIO/Treasury/Private Equity Annual Budget, Mid-Year Forecast, Internal Capital Adequacy and Assessment (ICAAP), CCAR and monthly forecasting processes, and weekly financial updates covering Balance Sheet, Risk Weighted Assets and Capital. The group is also a provider of critical MIS reports which go to Senior Management on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. This group is the primary contact and the subject matter experts on all matters concerning Risk Weighted Assets and Regulatory Capital and frequently interfaces with various Corporate Finance groups and Corporate Finance Senior Management to report and explain the capital results of the business. In addition, this group works very closely with various groups in CIO, like front office and risk, to help with the capital needed for various investments.  The group reports to the Global P&A head of CIO/Treasury/Private Equity and serves as an analytical resource to help senior management understand our business.

 

Associate Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Key responsibility deals with analyzing and understanding composition of CIO/Treasury Balance Sheet (notional size of $ 700Bn), Risk Weighted Assets and Capital under Basel III Standardized and Basel III Advanced rules and regulations
  • Provide necessary schedules/presentations for executive management for both external and internal requirements
  • Review and oversee consolidation of Balance Sheet for Finance & Risk meetings, Risk Appetite, ICAAP, CCAP and Annual Budget
  • Press release and Quarter-end reporting support and analysis
  • Complete daily SMR P&L sign off (when scheduled)
  • Work to identify areas to create more efficient processes within the group
  • As hoc analysis
  • Background in Finance, Accounting,
  • 3-5 years’ experience
  • Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong work ethic and analytical ability, be able to work independently and with the team, have excellent communication skills and manage through tight timelines
  • Ability to synthesize and analyze large amounts of data to ascertain key facts and trends
  • Ability to work in pressure oriented environment and able to handle multiple tasks
  • Self starter with ability to process and acquire information with limited supervision
  • Excel, PowerPoint skills
  • Previous experience with Hyperion Essbase management reporting software a plus
