Job Description:
Position Objectives:
  • Manage the holistic construction project management activities at an optimum level of delivery, quality, costing and timing, that is operationally and process compliant and in accordance with JPMC Policy & Procedures & workplace standards, while effectively achieving the business needs and requirements, and delivering a work place environment that is safe, improves efficiency & productivity and enhances staff attraction and retention
  • Align strongly with business stakeholders, and the internal GRE organization to ensure alignment of business and GRE objectives
  • Provide functional and leadership role in the development of strategies and goals
  • Develop and manage a "best in class" outsourced project management organization.
  • Strong knowledge of and connectivity to the financial & construction markets to leverage best practices and provide opportunities for innovation and success.
  • Coordinate closely with key internal partners i.e. Sourcing, GTI, GSI, GMS, GBDS, etc. in developing project plans, budgets, estimates and execution to meet the needs of the business group(s).
  • Manage the project management/D and C program for the region in partnership and consultation with Global D and C
  • Aggressively manage the Regional Budget Plan for annual capital spend with a focus on intelligent savings while satisfying the needs of the various Lines of Business.
  • Approved and Pipeline projects of major initiatives is estimated at $500 MM over the next 5 years.
  • Promote and execute a  "best in class" customer service culture throughout the PM/ D&C organization that consistently delivers high quality to the Lines of Business. As JPMC regional project management and construction expert be a "trusted advisor" to all LOB heads.
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Support the Region D&C Head and regional team  in the development of portfolio strategies
  • Support the Region D&C Head and the Global D and C head in the development of global and regional project management/D and C strategies
  • Work with the transaction team and GRE management towards site technical due diligence as part of the site selection process and lease/purchase negotiations
  • Support the Region D&C Head in the review of viability of proposed real estate and/or fit-out/construction projects
  • Prepare necessary work and documentations in partnership with the GRE team in the preparation of project approval documents and in the subsequent reviews of the project proposals
  • Manage the in-house organization, consultants and vendors towards developing plans, schedules, budgets, procurement process and execution of construction projects within quality standards, within budget and within schedule
  • Manage procurement process in partnership with Global Sourcing for architects/designers, M and E consultants, general contractors, etc
  • Develop a procurement plan together with Global Sourcing for operational effectiveness, speed to market, volume leverage, etc
  • Ensure that our premises design, fit-out, plans are within acceptable levels as mandated by local regulatory standards and JPM standards
  •  Ensure that projects are managed within the firm's compliance policies, and GRE processes and guidelines
  • Manage contracts related to project management  with legal counsel with a view towards contract templates and properly reflecting country specific legal requirements
  • Manage project management at best of class metrics benchmarked vs industry measures and industry best practices , etc
  • Support Regional and Global D and C towards ensuring project management/D and C consistencies across the globe, best practices forum, delivering our project management/D and C goals, etc
  • Manage the review and analysis of regional project management reports to ensure optimum delivery of  projects as well as in developing, measuring and improving metrics
Experience/Skills set
  • Must have at least 20 years’ experience as a corporate real estate senior regional project manager or a senior regional project manager in a principal real estate or project management consultancy company. Management of a staff of at least 5 people is essential.
  • University Graduate with a background in architecture, engineering or building related degree
  • Strong  industry market knowledge and experience across the region
  • Must have very good organizational, time management  and strategic planning skills
  • Good understanding of financials
  • Effective leadership, communication  and collaborative skills
  • Strong program and project management  skill
  •  Proficient in use of Microsoft Outlook (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and other standard business applications is a must.
