JPMorgan Chase & Co.’s Corporate Sector Finance group provides financial management and reporting support for Global Real Estate, Enterprise Technology, Compliance, Legal, Corporate Finance, Human Resources, Risk Management, Audit, Executive and other staff areas.

The Global Real Estate (GRE) Finance team sits within Corporate Sector Finance. It is comprised of finance professionals across the globe who are accountable for managing both the expense & capital components of the GRE business function, ensuring a sound control environment, measuring performance, providing value-added analyses, and presenting information and ideas to senior management within Global Real Estate, to the major lines of business, and to the various Firm-wide finance teams who roll up the results of the entire Corporation. The team covers all aspects of managing the firm’s $2.1B expense, 45mm square foot office portfolio including, but not limited to, space management, property management, lease administration, design & construction, transactions, and portfolio management

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Develop strong working relationships with the three GRE Finance regional CFO teams (Asia Pacific, Americas, EMEA) in coordinating the roll-up, planning, reporting and analysis of total GRE financials.
  • Provide the GRE Executive and GRE CFO with timely and accurate management reporting and analysis – covering expense, capital, and line of business expense allocation reporting. 
  • Prepare executive presentations for the Firm’s CAO and COO, including quarterly and annual business reviews, monthly capital steering committee reviews, and quarterly expense allocation reviews for the five line of business CFOs.
  • Own and understand all facets of the GRE P&L and balance sheet including current year budget and actuals reporting as well as coordination and roll up of GRE’s evergreen 5 year capital & expense forecast model
  • Act as a key business and financial information provider to multiple GRE related constituencies covering all aspects of the Firm’s $4.0B real estate expense and $2.0 - $3.0B annual capital spend  for both office and branch space – and help develop data driven dashboards to ensure consistency of reported data
  • Coordinate with the Corporate Sector Finance team on all deliverables into Corporate, and communicate related calendar timelines, deliverables, economic variables (e.g., FX rates), etc. to the GRE Finance Regional CFO teams
  • Partner with Corporate Sector Accounting and the Global Real Estate business functions (e.g., lease administration, economic incentives group, space & location strategy, design & construction, property management, transactions) to ensure proper understanding of all accounting, strategic and business drivers of the GRE financials.

  • Bachelor's degree in business related discipline – accounting or finance preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Prior experience or innate interest in the Real Estate asset class
  • Ability to think outside of the box, identify problems & find cost efficient solutions
  • Ability to analyze data, process information and work under minimal supervision
  • Sound judgment and independent decision making are required
  • Ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment and prioritize projects accordingly
  • Communication skills - Ability to communicate succinctly and efficiently, comfortable interacting with senior business/Corporate leaders
  • Organizational ability - Ability to handle numerous deliverables simultaneously, many with critical deadlines. Candidate must be comfortable with frequently changing priorities
