Asset Management Technology US Equities is seeking a well-rounded hands-on technologist that is experienced in building systems that support the Investment Management investment cycle with the main focus on Portfolio Management & Compliance functions. The candidate will be part of the London Portfolio Management/Compliance applications development team. The candidate should have strong application development experience in maintaining and equities related systems covering both GUI and server side components. Exposure to decision support systems, portfolio rebalancing, trade by security across multiple accounts is a plus.

 

 

The candidate will be responsible for:

  • Analysis of existing applications and workflows and identifying issue areas and recommending possible solutions.
  • Coding, Compiling, Unit testing, integration, packaging and deployment of developed software.
  • Participates in the technical design of Equity Portfolio Management & Compliance application
  • Implementation of business requirements, technical recommendation within timelines agreed with the end users.
  • Collaborate with other developers to share development solutions, experiences, challenges and best practices
  • Ensure overall quality of deliverables is consistent with defined standards
  • 5+ years of experience in a formal development environment.

Technical:

  • Strong C# .NET experience is required
  • Strong WPF experience is required
  • Strong experience in multi-threaded programming and object oriented design is required
  • Strong Server side framework based development experience is required
  • Strong experience building connected, service-oriented applications is required
  • SQL\NoSql\BigData development experience is preferred.
  • Middleware messaging MQ, JMS is a plus
  • JIRA, SharePoint, continuous integration tools (Jenkins) experience is a plus

 

Business Knowledge and others:

  • Ability to work directly with users and technology partners at all levels
  • Deep understanding of International Equity markets
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
  • Ability to analyze existing Portfolio Management & Compliance applications.
  • Ability to produce documentation at all levels, client service and technical writing skills, coupled with a strong interest in further developing and integrating systems knowledge with technology skills
  • Dedicated and conscientious
  • Demonstrated ability to produce results in complex environments
