This role provides the opportunity to be part of a very strong team responsible for a global system that spans across multiple lines of business within the JPMorgan Corporate Investment Bank. The team is commencing on a multi-year large scale renovation initiative of the current platform which is responsible for Collateral Management and Margining for the OTC Bilateral business.


This encompasses managing streaming data, distributed parallel computation of complex financial calculations, reporting, and processing. This role will require participation at all stages of the project life cycle from requirements gathering to implementation. This role will also require significant design and development of an enterprise-scale distributed event processing and data computation platform.


Essential

  • 5-7+ years of hands on Oracle Development with stored procedures
  • 4 years Java or demonstrated equivalent proficiency
  • Familiarity with Object Oriented software design and Object-Relational mapping
  • Solid data modelling, logical and physical design skills.
  • Extensive experience and competency in SQL development specifically Oracle
  • Experience with Casandra/NoSQL
  • Strong understanding of data profile and performance tools
  • College degree (Computer Science preferred).

 

Advantageous

  • Experience in Agile development methodology, such as Scrum
  • Experience in Linux and shell scripting
  • Experience in Big-Data/MapReduce/ForkJoin data grids
  • Knowledge of version and revision control practices and procedures
  • Experience in GIT
  • Experience with the Financial Services industry experience is helpful, particularly in Securities Collateral Management

  • Comfortable with agile development practices
  • Skilled at giving and receiving feedback
