Credit Ops Analyst II – Corporate Liability
Chase Card Services, located in Wilmington, DE, has opening for Credit Ops Analyst II.  The selected individual will thrive in a fast-paced environment and have proven commercial underwriting ability.  Individuals in this position will be experienced, qualified commercial credit professionals with superior verbal, written, interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills.  Primary responsibilities include
 
New Acquisition/ CLI:
  • Deal reviews of both New Acquisitions and CLI requests with business exposure <$150M. 
  • Provide management with monthly deal review tracking broken out by lender in an Excel document. 
  • Provide coaching and feedback directly to specific lender for each request

Project Management

  • Identify projects that will help further the goals of the department, using own observations, feedback from managers, and concerns raised by other lenders
  • Design the project scope, timeline, expected deliverables, etc.
  • Identify the team members to work on the respective project

Training and Lender Development

  • Mentor/trainer for new lenders (Assist with training new & existing lenders as identified/designated)
  • Build-out lunch or learn or similar ideas to enhance the skills and engagement of the team
  • Identify topics of interest, training opportunities
  • Present learning topics in meetings
  • Work with other lenders to identify areas where they are skilled and work with them to organize presentations to the team
  • Availability to assist with development/delivery of other training programs

General Daily/ Monthly and Quarterly Tasks

  • Serve as back-up to the Delaware DL’s if one or both they are OOO (ie. Assist with all deal reviews and deal assigner during busy or critical periods of high volume). 
  • Point of contact and resolver for escalations (Escalation Process, when applicable)
  • SME for onboarding system access for new hires and ongoing support for accuracy of application access for both DE and AZ CL NAL/CLI teams
  • SME for quality feedback from CL quality team to ensure each lender completes corrections in a timely manner

  • Assist with creation of Lender’s monthly scorecards to include both metrics for production and quality for each member of the NAL/CLI team
  • Complete (5) fresh and (5) signoffs from either consumer or low line J&S work volumes from queue population monthly to ensure compliance which ensure continuance of lending authority
  • Proven ability to spread business financial statements/tax returns, perform ratio analysis, complete risk assessment and make sound credit decisions and recommendations via written and verbal presentations;
  • Experience in defending difficult decisions and in negotiating counteroffers, where appropriate;
  • Superior credit/lending/coaching/development and transactional knowledge as well as analytical abilities with little or no guidance required from immediate manager;
  • Minimum 5-8 years commercial underwriting experience;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Proven ability to communicate verbally and in writing with internal and external customers and with various levels of management;
  • Ability to work and lead a team environment;
  • Flexibility in adapting to changing volumes and areas of focus;
  • Ability to investigate, recommend and initiate process improvements;
 
Preferred attributes include:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related discipline (MBA a plus);
  • Successful completion of a major corporate bank commercial training program (or the equivalent corporate banking/corporate finance or accounting experience);
  • Previous experience with troubled asset evaluation and resolution
