Global Real Estate (“GRE”) is global product group within J.P. Morgan Asset Management investing in real estate. The GRE Product Development – Asia role is a position within GRE’s Product Development Group (PDG).  PDG has a broad range of responsibilities, including participating in product design/delivery/management, capital raising, investment and asset management activities and business management and risk controls. 
 
The GRE Product Development – Asia-Pacific Associate will report to PDG’s Managing Director (Asia-Pacific), and work closely with other PDG members and the acquisition, asset management and marketing/product specialist teams across the platform in Asia-Pacific, Europe and the US.  Responsibilities will include acquisition due diligence (including anti-corruption matters), preparation, review and/or negotiation of certain preliminary transaction documentation (such as confidentiality agreements, term sheets, engagement letters, etc.), involvement in negotiation of transaction documents, liaising with other J.P. Morgan control functions and groups to ensure conformity with J.P. Morgan policies and practices (such as Legal, Compliance, Conflicts, Risk, Anti-Corruption, etc.), structuring investments in funds and downstream portfolio across jurisdictions, review of investor reports, governance matters and other portfolio management issues in relation to portfolio investments, financing and related activities.
•             3 to 5 years of corporate/funds practice legal experience at major law firm
•             Exceptional coordination and organizational skills
•             Ability to think creatively, commercially and develop reasonable solutions to issues
•             Strong written and oral communication skills
•             Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and handle short timeframes
•             Ability to work across time zones with colleagues in the US, Europe and Asia-Pacific
•             Asian language proficiency (Chinese, Japanese, Korean) is a plus, but not required
