Our Global Service Centers (GSCs) are strategically positioned in Mumbai, Bangalore and Hyderabad to support the firm’s operations regionally and globally. The centers provide comprehensive strategic support across technology and business operations processing to all lines of business and the corporate functions.
The Technology team at our GSCs service all Lines of Business and Enterprise Technology in helping build and operate innovative industry leading solutions. The breadth of capabilities within the Technology team at the GSC enables it to support the firm in leading edge areas such as Digital, Big data analytics, Robotics & Machine Learning.
Roles & Responsibility:
We are seeking an Application Developer for the development and support of a suite of applications that
service Consumer and Business Banking. Tasks include :
  • Application development in-line with stated requirements.
  • Incorporate corporate architectural standards into application design specifications.
  • Document application specifications.
  • Maintain documentation in-line with group best practices to ensure knowledge accessibility and continuous learning
  • Awareness of industry standard SDLC processes for quality Management
  • 4-6 years of IT Experience in Java/J2EE
  • Core Skills
  • Strong in Object Model, Core Java and Database.
  • Strong in Java/J2EE technologies using frameworks such as Apache CXF or Spring
  • Hands-on experience on connecting to database using JDBC, query and performance tuning
  • Needs to be able to create web services from scratch, the WSDL, the XSD, SOAP calls, preferably using Apache CXF
  • Code Reviews – PMD, JUNIT, Performance, Memory Management
  • Must have exposure to application health check and monitoring in UNIX box.
  • Banking domain experience will be preferred
  • Should be able to translate high level design to detail technical design and implementation.
  • Hands-on experience in the horizontally scalable technologies like spring cloud, Netflix oss, spring boot, no-sql
Good to have:
  • Exposure to in Weblogic/Websphere Server Development/Deployment
  • Exposure in developing Javascript RIA (e.g. using jQuery / extJs / HTML5), understanding of Javascript packages.
  • BFSI (Banking Finance Service and Insurance) experience preferred
  • Should be able to translate business requirements into high level design, detail technical design and implementation.
Soft skills:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactively identify and communicate issues leveraging standard monitoring and alerting tools, and work to resolve
  • issues liaising with 3rd party resolver teams as necessary.
  • A good listener and should articulate ideas in writing and verbally to any audience in a way where these are understood
  • and achieve the goals intended with that communication
  • Have ability to work effectively with teams/people having different skill sets, personalities, work styles, or motivation level
  • Readiness to work 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM IST to provide for overlap with US teams
