The Chicago Technology Hub is seeking a candidate who will be responsible for helping drive the strategy and execution of all communication and community needs across the ~1,500 technology team.  In support of the Chicago Tech Hub Lead and Coordinator, this individual will lead and coordinate cross-line of business Hub programs, and require partnering with teams, Hub Workstreams, stakeholders and Chicago Location Leader and Global Technology Communications resources. The role will develop and implement a strong communications strategy that supports the Chicago Technology Operating Council’s objectives.  
  • 5-7 years experience in a communications, marketing or related role.
  • Very good written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated success developing messages, providing communications counsel to senior management teams, and executing communications plans.
  • Organized project manager and multi-tasker, comfortable in a deadline-driven, fast-paced. environment.  
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. 
  • Must be organized and detail-oriented.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work on teams, across lines of business and with all levels of the organization.
  • Consultative approach with the ability to interact, influence and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrate exceptional professionalism and the ability to independently manage multiple priorities and deliver strong results within tight timeframes.
  • Must be able to demonstrate speed and adaptability, especially with writing and editing on the fly.
  • Must be able to get up to speed quickly on the business and its priorities.
  • Experience with SharePoint, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications.
  • BA/BS degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or related degree is preferred.
