An International Product Specialist (IPS) within the CB International Banking Group will be responsible for supporting the growth of JPMorgan's international business among corporate clients and prospects in the $100 million – $1 billion sales size across the West and South Regions.  This role is at the Executive Director / Vice President level. This position can be based in Los Angeles or San Francisco, CA. The role of an International Product Specialist is to drive international revenue generation by partnering with Middle Market and Specialized Industries bankers, treasury management officers and other product partners.  An IPS provides in-depth technical expertise to develop new business and expand existing global relationships in the area of treasury services, lending, trade finance and foreign exchange. 
An IPS must be a team player who is able to function effectively in a fast paced environment.  An IPS is expected to work with bankers and Treasury sales to ensure that clients are offered the right international solutions.  Comprehensive knowledge of international banking products with a strong emphasis on treasury services is essential. Additional experience of working abroad preferred. The role has expectations for travel 40-50% in the US.
  • Consult clients on their international banking needs, with a strong emphasis on Treasury Services and working capital.
  • Leverage partnerships with relationship managers and product partners to develop and deliver custom global treasury, trade, and lending solutions for corporate clients
  • Partner and influence Treasury Services and Commercial Banking teams to establish and drive business development strategies
  • Represent JPMC's International capabilities at both internal and external events throughout the West and South regions
  • Provide input into product development, marketing, and other strategic initiatives
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experiences. Though each of the following items is not a requirement, a compelling combination of the following is a must: 5+ years of successful direct sales or relationship management - focused on International Treasury Management and solutions delivery
  • Success in providing consultation on the aspects on international banking and cash management
  • Expert knowledge of International banking products, services, and markets (Treasury, lending, trade finance and foreign exchange) and ability to leverage in assessing client needs overseas through a consultative engagement
  • Familiarity of domestic US cash management services, lending products, and trade
  • Executive presence and consultative sales acumen; ability to develop advisory relationships with clients, prospects and bankers
  • Proven track record of results-oriented performance; building and influencing strategic relationships; capable of working with minimal supervision
  • Credit training preferred, with experience financing overseas operations and screening transactions with credit or other risk issues
  • Cert ICM/ AFP certification preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills- ability to call at the CEO/CFO level
  • MBA preferred
