The Finance Control Office (FCO) was created to ensure a strong and consistent control environment across the Finance function, reporting directly into the Firmwide Controller and with matrix reporting into Firmwide Oversight & Control (O&C).  FCO is accountable for oversight of control issue identification, escalation, evaluation and remediation and plays an instrumental role in promoting consistency of approach across both Corporate and Line of Business (LoB) teams.

 

The Office of Legal Obligations (OLO) program is a firmwide initiative to develop and execute a sustainable infrastructure and process that documents the Firm’s obligations arising from material laws, rules and regulatory requirements and connects those obligations to policies and or procedures that support compliance with those laws, rules and regulatory requirements.   

 

We are looking for a high performing individual to manage the OLO program within Corporate Finance.  The individual will have responsibility for assessing and directing the execution of mapping and assessments as they relate to Finance owned activity which will require extensive engagement with O&C, Legal and the LoB Finance teams.  The individual will build significant expertise of the firmwide OLO program and will be in a position to influence the design of the overall framework.  

 
Responsibilities will include:
 
  • Development, organization and execution of the Corporate Finance OLO program
  • Supporting mapping and execution for Finance owned obligations including confirmation of appropriateness of mapping
  • Active engagement and partnership with LoB and other functional stakeholders to ensure successful execution of deliverables
  • Acting as first point of contact for stakeholders to raise queries and issues to and drive forward resolution
  • Provide clarity where there are procedures or mapping gaps and required next steps to close
  • Tracking and resolving items that impact project goals and timelines
  • Designing and implementing the future state Quality Assurance program

  • Minimum of 6 years of business and financial management experience
  • Knowledge of external and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, including expertise in issue and conflict resolution
  • Outstanding listening and negotiation skills as well as being a strong written and verbal communicator
  • Proven track record of execution against deliverables
  • Detail oriented, with a highly disciplined approach to process and quality control
  • Team player with ability to build strong cross-business relationships – proven flexibility, adaptability and reliability
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
