Agent Lending / Securities Lending is an investment overlay strategy that enhances the intrinsic value of a portfolio of securities by producing alpha or income which can be used to increase a portfolio’s return and/or offset expenses.The team manages a discretionary lending of both Fixed Income and Equities across 36 markets.  The product ensures risks are managed and mitigated using various method not least of which is via collateral which maybe in the form of cash or securities.
The Portfolio Advisory team monitors the performance of current products, manages the development and implementation of new products, provides technical sales and consulting services to clients and manages all aspects of client and external communications. As a Portfolio Adviser in this team, you will have responsibility for managing all aspects of the Securities Lending relationship for the Lending clients in Asia-ex Japan region.
Key Accountabilities/Major Responsibilities: 
  • Providing day-to-day support to the clients and ensure relationships receive the optimal account set-up and ensure seamless delivery of the Securities Lending.
  • On-time and accurate delivery of client reporting – ensure the best feasible solution to client’s reporting requirements.
  • Manage client onboarding and client asset transitions.
  • Manage and grow the Securities Lending revenue stream by pro-actively seek out opportunities to expand existing lending relationships.
  • First point of contact for technical questions, either from the client or internally.
  • Prepare and undertake quarterly reviews with clients and present a summary of all aspects of the lending relationship during the prior period.
  • Identify opportunity and actively promote the Securities Lending product to prospective clients and partner local sales team.


  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline is highly desirable.
  • At least five years experience in finance industry in a client relationship management/service environment.
  • Background in Securities Lending or Global Custody business is highly preferred.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation and communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills and well versed with Excel / Access.
  • Ability to manage relationships effectively, both internal and external.
