The JPMAM Counterparty Risk Analytics Team supports the Global Counterparty Risk Group in the supervision of credit risk arising from counterparty activities conducted on behalf of clients. The team leads the identification of emerging risks & trend research, limit architecture design, the development of new methodologies, rapid prototyping efforts, and manages their ultimate implementation across key technology and quantitative research stake holders. The team is also responsible for the Investment Risk Oversight of the Global Liquidity Fund platform. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform on-going monitoring and periodic reviews of Counterparty Credit exposures
  • Perform on-going monitoring and periodic reviews of Investment, Credit, and Liquidity Risks of the Global Liquidity Fund platform
  • Develop a deep understanding of fund strategies in context of counterparty and market risks across all accounts managed by JPMAM
  • Contribute to development, enhancement, and periodic review of analytics, risk assessment methodologies, and reporting capabilities
  • Supervise the production and distribution of BAU and event driven risk reports
  • Work with large volumes of data to conduct ad-hoc analyses
  • Contribute to team-wide efforts such as methodology enhancements, portfolio review & challenge, and management presentations
  • Manage implementation of key analytical and technology projects. Serve as subject matter expert for our business partners.

 

  • The ideal candidate must possess a strong risk and control mindset:
    • Be very detail oriented;
    • Have excellent analytical and written/verbal communication skills;
    • Be able to work under pressure;
    • Able to deliver on multiple tight, time sensitive timelines; and
    • Exceptional analytical skills (naturally inquisitive/intellectually curious)
  • Undergraduate degree with 6+ years of relevant work experience:
    • Strong academic performance with coursework in a quantitative/technical discipline with demonstrated technical proficiency in professional setting preferred
  • Experience with quantitative concepts in portfolio credit risk management, with demonstrated experience explaining complex assumptions to a non-technical audience
  • Broad financial products knowledge with prior professional experience analyzing/modeling derivatives in a risk, trading, or research capacity.
  • Prior leadership, and project management experience in a cross-functional environment, with demonstrated experience managing multiple tasks and priorities under tight deadlines
  • Prior professional experience using Python in an analytical capacity
  • Experience with Tableau or similar BI tools preferred
  • Excellent team player
