About the Application:

J.P. Morgan Markets is an application hosting and delivery solution for both internal and external clients of the Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB). It hosts applications across the entire lifecycle – Pre-Trade, Trading and Post-Trade.


The vision of the CIB Markets Execution API Program is to provide discovery and commercialization of API and data services amongst internal and external client developers, through cross-business self-service on-boarding tools and a data distribution infrastructure


The incumbent will play a key role in driving client integration efforts and managing the overall API platform. The position requires strong analytical and communication skills, a technical approach to problem solving, and the ability to work with different teams in a constantly changing environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end client on-boarding efforts including but not limited to client communications and presentations, activities around user provisioning, entitlement management, access certification, validation testing, reporting and application support
  • Act as the first line of support for the API platform while partnering with Technology, Cyber, Compliance, Operate, Product, Sales and On-boarding teams globally
  • Rapidly identify and remediate any client issues/queries while adhering to SLAs determined by the business
  • Prepare internal management reporting for Client Service including: service delivery issues, client complaints, change management requests, production issues, etc.
  • Take the lead in ensuring that firm wide security standards are adhered to for all client application integrations and credentials are administered only after due diligence
  • Provide ad-hoc reports to business around API on-boarding turn-around times and track requests for audit purposes
  • Monitor client activity and drive activities around access re-certification, client off-boarding, profile management, etc. in collaboration with Sales and On-boarding teams
  • Engage with API product, Operate and on-boarding teams to identify opportunities for efficiencies and process improvements

Key Skills

  • Excellent communication skills (Oral and Written) with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent problem solving skills and ability to work with tight deadlines
  • Self-starter, able to work proactively to achieve results
  • Prior experience in Client servicing or application support teams
  • Experience in supporting e-Trading environments – algorithmic trading, order routing, low-latency trading, exchange connectivity with a working knowledge of business flows and terminology.
  • Capable of writing SQL queries and understand how relational databases work.
  • Exposure to System and application monitoring software  - Geneos, Splunk, Open Source.
  • Experience in tooling using scripting languages like Perl/Unix/Python or similar to drive down the operational risk.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office products including Excel, Powerpoint, etc.

Desired Skills

  • Experience in the financial markets
  • Knowledge of at least one Object Oriented Programming Language and understanding of Network Security


The successful candidate should also possess the following attributes:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering,  Operations, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Strong work ethic, self-starter who is creative with a ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and independently, while maintaining a high degree of communication and escalation
  • Team player, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Organization skills, be able to prioritize task based on priority level

Experience Required:

  • 7-10 years of related experience
  • 5+ years experience in a client-facing role
