Recognizing the need to strengthen management and coordination of regulatory initiatives across the CIB Chief Administrative Office, the CIB CAO Regulatory Oversight team was established in 2017. This team is responsible for providing interpretative guidance and expertise relating to global CIB CAO-wide regulatory commitments, with specific emphasis on support for firm wide Recovery & Resolution planning. Originally mandated as part of Dodd-Frank, Recovery & Resolution (a.k.a. Living Wills) requires bank holding companies to describe the company’s strategy for rapid & orderly recovery and resolution in the event of a material financial distress or failure. Since the initiation of the regulation in the US regulators globally have adapted similar regulations.
Scope of the team is based around supporting established regulatory initiatives; establishing technology solutions and operating models to effectively drive responses to emerging regulatory requirements; and maintaining effective global and regional CAO governance structures.
Roles within the CIB CAO Regulatory Oversight team will require understanding of the end-to-end business model at sub-Line of Business level, knowledge of the functional groups involved with supporting delivery and the key stakeholders associated with regulatory requirements. Candidates should be able to demonstrate leadership and strong analytical skills. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to work independently, as well as contributing more broadly across the global team, helping to support the vision and agenda for the team as a whole.
Scope of Responsibility:
Role will have responsibility to support the lead BA in driving requirements gathering and ensuring execution delivery of requirements in a strategic technology solution (R&R 2020) which will support regulatory commitments and implementation of the operating models required to support in an on-going evolution of requirements and completion of future deliverables.
“R&R 2020” is a large scale technology transformation program to support Recovery & Resolution submissions and 0regulatory inquiries globally.
Scope of requirements will be based on externally defined regulations, evolving as they move through consultation, technical standards and into implementation. They will be part of a global team, with emphasis on various regional requirements, driven by each location.
These roles will provide high profile visibility across the CIB CAO organization, with broad cross-functional and cross-LoB involvement, and the opportunity for extensive exposure to senior management.
