Job Description:
Finance and Risk CFO Operations is a global center of excellence providing operations support across Finance and Risk to ensure timeliness, accuracy and completeness of data with best-in-class toolsets.
Finance & Risk Warehouse (FRW) is a strategic component of the Finance - Risk Infrastructure and is a business operations area within Corporate Finance. We are responsible to source, control and monitor the timeliness, completeness, accuracy, reconciliation with General Ledger of all wholesale/ retail transaction and position information, for Finance and Risk Organization, which includes Regulatory Reporting, Financial reporting, Credit, Liquidity, Market, Principal Risk etc. The Program Management team will take the lead in driving the strategic initiative of creation of Finance Risk Convergence Platform and will be responsible for integrated program execution in partnership with Operations and Technology teams within Corporate Finance and Risk along with LOB teams.
Working on the Finance Risk Projects Program, responsibilities include:
  • Work within the Data Sourcing & Consumption team supporting Securities, Derivatives & Reference data, reporting into the Program Management Lead; the role has exposure to JPMC Corporate Finance Risk and Treasury leadership across multiple contents, Strategic Data Sourcing being one of the core Roadmap programs, which would include reporting at Program level, Regulatory, and internal initiatives.
  • Being responsible for driving consistent progress reporting across the Book of Work (“projects”) for end to end PLC guidance, project initiation, planning. monitoring & control, stakeholder engagement, project delivery and implementation
  • Liaise on a regular basis with other PMOs of the Program to ensure traceability and effective monitoring over the Book of Work, solicit their actions and escalate issues as appropriate.
  • Leveraging on financial products knowledge to produce effective messages; for instance, asset-driven KPIs.
  • Manage partnerships & governance meetings with stakeholders across LOB upstream suppliers of data (e.g., Corporate Investment Bank, Asset Wealth Management, Business Banking, etc.)  and consumers across Treasury/ Finance /
  • Drive and/or assist in creating reports and presentations for senior management, including decks and metrics that require creative approach to work and proficient use of Power Point / Excel.
  • Liaise on a regular basis with team leads and other stakeholders of the Program to ensure that reporting reflects accurate and timely information.
  • Responsibility for timely organizing inputs coming from other sources of the organization and excellent time management skills, as well as flexibility by identifying, driving and participating in project management milestones, phases as well as specific action items.
  • Represent the team in supporting central Audit & Business Management deliverables
  • Actively participate and collaborate in work stream meetings and ad hoc working sessions including preparing meeting minutes and keeping track of agreed actions.
  • Effectively communicate with peers and colleagues across different groups and functions. Escalate issues as appropriate.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Knowledge of the Finance and Risk business or specific Wholesale Credit related products is a plus.
  • Experience with the MS Office suite of products (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
  • Previous PMO experience and experience in driving Management reporting within and Agile project environment
  • Ability to drive collaboration through implementation of structured governance framework
  • Demonstrated ability to focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Team player and adaptable to changing environment, with good interpersonal skills.
  • Highly disciplined individual, self-motivated, and delivery-focused.
  • 5+ years  PMO experience in the Banking Industry
  • Experience in Advisory Firms focused on Financial Services clients is a plus
  • Ability to lead and influence without having positional authority. Strong team-orientation and leadership skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, especially PowerPoint and Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including attention to detail as well as the ability to summarize and present
  • Ability to identify and ask questions as appropriate
  • Ability to work both independently, as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Strong control orientation; Strong analytical / critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Ability to multi task
  • Ability to communicate effectively at many levels of the organization including senior management
  • Bachelor’s degree required CPA / CFA helpful.
