This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
  • Expertise in application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines, advanced knowledge of architecture, design and business processes.  In addition the ideal candidate will have a keen understanding of financial control and budget management
  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals including assisting development teams with assessing their application and developing a path to the Cloud
  • Delivering documentation, guidelines, best practices, SDKs, sample code or components that will actively assist development teams during migration to the Cloud
  • Hands on experience in Java. At least 2 years’ experience in Agile (Scrum) software development, preferably with an emphasis on Software as a Service and at least 3 years recent experience in the financial services industry, preferably working for a large bank.
  • Recent hands on coding experience with the latest WEB technologies (in Java) on the Cloud (PaaS) is a must
  • Hands on experience with architecture of applications, scale, security and operations targeted for IaaS and PaaS from initial design via development into Production.
  • Hands on experience with Domain Driven Design (DDD) and Micro Services design targeted for PaaS.
  • Expertise in executing Clean Code guidelines, test driven development (TDD) and 12 Factor Application design and implementation
  • Ability to actively contribute to architecture and design discussions, helping the team to architect and design a system from the ground up.
  • Experience with refactoring existing applications and moving them successfully to the Cloud.
