Analytics and Modeling at Chase

 

Who We Are

 

We are a team of statisticians, economists, data scientists, and other analytics professionals, focused on modeling and analytics throughout the Consumer and Community Banking division of JPMorgan Chase.  We answer complex quantitative questions, using a wide variety of analytical techniques and leveraging one of the world’s largest data warehouse implementations.  We do this in close tandem with our partners throughout Chase, to help them make, execute, and assess critical business decisions.

 

A number of positions are available, in teams such as Treasury Finance Modeling, the Chief Administrative Office Analytics team, and Consumer Banking and Chase Wealth Management Analytics. Responsibilities in these positions may include:

  • Partnering and consulting with clients to define problems and translate them into specific data requirements to support business initiatives

  • Combining data from multiple disparate sources

  • Identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets

  • Analyzing and forecasting customer behaviors to inform investment decisions

  • Building or implementing statistical models in SAS, Excel, Python, R, or other programming languages

  • Communicating results to partners, including senior leaders in Finance and Marketing

  • Assisting in documentation and model reviews

  • Maintaining necessary processes, controls and procedures to ensure data accuracy and integrity

We are looking for an analytics professional that possesses:

  • Technical proficiency
You should possess a master’s degree or PhD in a quantitative field of study, with a sound foundation in one or more of the following analytical disciplines:
  • Linear and non-linear statistical modeling
  • Time series and forecasting
  • Panel (longitudinal) data analysis
  • Data manipulation and management
  • Data visualization
  • Programming
  • Optimization
