The Digital Release Management team plans and manages Digital release implementation events consisting of five to eight major release events each year, and numerous smaller events. 

The Release Manager will be responsible for the planning and management of release events from inception to completion for Chase Online.  The Release Manager will work across management, technology, business, and project management staff in order to create and manage detailed implementation plans, outage schedules, and associated release deliverables.  The Release Manager will identify, track, report against significant release project milestones, will identify release level issues or points of integration between multiple projects, and will manage the issues to closure.  The Release Manager will manage and communicate status on all risks, timelines, and issues during the release project life cycle and for the release implementation event.  He or she must be willing to support release implementation events during weekend and/or overnight hours. The Release Manager will participate in the Collision Analysis process to ensure release events can complete successfully. 

       
You will adhere to JPMC Project Management, Change Management, and Production Management standards and methodologies when managing release cycles. Ensure scheduled changes take place as planned, ensure that policy and control requirements are met. Ensure all release documentation is properly updated with signoff. Promote effective teamwork and manage interpersonal issues. Contribute to continuous improvement by leveraging CMM or other methodologies.

  • 7+ years of experience in Information Technology, with an emphasis on Technology Release / Project Management in Banking / Financial Services systems.  
  • Solid understanding of Project Management methods.
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong knowledge of Agile and waterfall development lifecycles.
  • College degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience leading and working with geographically distributed and culturally diverse work-groups.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral to all levels of an organization, a customer focused mind set, and strong problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Highly organized, able to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.  Strong ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment, handle multiple issues concurrently, and set priorities among competing demands.
  • Strong collaboration skills, and proven ability to influence others
  • Release Management experience is a plus, including experience in validating application deployment plans and release schedules
