AM Technology Digital Marketing is seeking a well rounded hands-on technologist that is experienced in building systems that support the Investment Management cycle.

The primary responsibility of this position will be to work on initiatives to engineer next generation solutions for the technology operating platform of Asset Management division of JP Morgan Chase. This position is part of the Digital Marketing organization that brings innovative technologies and client facing solutions to bear. The systems will be built on Java/J2EE architecture with modern open-source driven solution (HTML5/CSS3/AngularJS/ReactJS, SpringBoot, Git, Maven, RESTful Web Services, Web Content Management platforms). The ideal candidate is a results-oriented full stack developer with significant front end development experience with HTML5 and mobile technology platforms. The candidate will be responsible to build and support HTML5 based responsive and ADA compliant User Interfaces. Strong knowledge in HTML5/CSS3/Javascript/Mobile technologies (like AngularJS, ReactJS, Ember, Bootstrap, Grunt, iOS, Hybrid app development, testing, Chromium) is required. The ideal candidate is a results-oriented hands-on technical lead working on niche and leading edge technology platforms leading small teams to deliver robust solutions in an Agile manner. The candidate will be responsible for architecture, design, development and delivery of new platforms, shared services to business and other technology teams.

Key responsibilities:
  • Prototypes on new UI technologies and rationalizes the adoption of next generation technologies into a large organization by establishing standards & reference applications
  • Leads presentations in architecture review, strategic technology directions, best practice development (e.g., estimating models), Identifies problems by detecting patterns or connections; researches and analyzes problems; determines alternative solutions and creates action steps to solve the problem; thinks and acts quickly and effectively in a variety of situations; solves the problem while maintaining a balance between the time invested, the amount of information needed and the magnitude of the problem; evaluates both the short- and long-term consequences of decisions.

  • 10+ years of experience.
  • Excellent technical and analytical skills.
  • Design and development of web/mobile HTML5 AJAX applications.
  • User Interface and Design Experience, ADA
  • Experience with web/internet technologies.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in web user interface technologies (AngularJS, Bootstrap, Grunt, iOS, Hybrid app development).
  • Proven track record of delivering results.
  • Strong communication and influence skills.
  • Knowledgeable and comfortable working in an Agile Environment.
  • Experience with multiple technologies and design techniques.
  • Experience with frameworks that improves software and platform security.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in web technologies.
  • Strong web application infrastructure understanding including web servers, load balancers, DNS, networking / firewalls
  • Understanding of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) and assistive technologies (JAWS, NVDA, Zoomtext), and proven track record of incorporating into your day-to-day work, is a plus but not required.
