The J.P. Morgan Private Banking Solutions Product Development (“SPD”) team is focused on delivering high impact product initiatives.
The SPD team works in conjunction with the Asset Class Leaders (ACLs)/Solutions team to implement new investment products and services or variations of existing ones for the benefit of all internal and external clients.
The SPD team also works with risk and control functions to define and implement solutions to comply with new regulations and business needs across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
The team provides strategy, product development and business management services to ACLs/Solutions team. The SPD team partners very closely with the Investments Business, Tech & Ops, control functions (Legal, Risk & Compliance, Supervisory management, Oversight & Control), Finance, Tax and Marketing.
Drive new product development and build out of new investment capabilities by partnering with PB Asset Class Leaders/ Solutions desks and Investments Business management
Lead investment product NBIAs (New Business initiative approval process) and PRAs (process re-engineering approval process) by co-ordinating with stakeholders as well as control & support functions
Work closely with PB Compliance on local regulatory developments in the Asia region and initiate and drive changes to ensure all investment products and supporting platforms meet those requirements
Develop and manage product implementation plans and provide updates for senior management on implementation status, issues and benefits to the business
Liaise with Technology BAs to define high-level Business requirements and ensure that proposed delivery method covers all requirements
Participate in strategic decisions related to product development and platform enhancements needed to drive growth
Continually assess current investment product offering across PB Asia, recommend and lead change to existing offering through crafting senior management proposals
Support ad-hoc product enquiries mainly from Solution desks and Investor teams on bespoke client needs
Provide continuous improvement through identifying best practices in products / processes / systems
Liaise with other regional investment product teams in EMEA and the US to either jointly implement new products or ensure consistency in offering and processes across product classes
Co-operate well with all internal stakeholders (Solutions, Investment Business management, Tech & Ops, Compliance, Legal and Risk) and internal and external counterparties (i.e., Investment Banks) to deliver new product solutions
Experience within Private Wealth Management or Investment Banking from product implementation, product control or process re-engineering perspective
Expertise in Project Management discipline, techniques and project delivery process with ability to manage, organize, and control activities of complex projects
Ability to multi task and meet tight deadlines
Ability to quickly analyze current business practices to identify risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities and develop innovative solutions.
Relentless focus on execution and enjoy taking ownership for the delivery of measurable results
Ability to adapt in a fast paced, dynamic and changing team environment is essential
Confident and outgoing personality, able to deal directly with the senior people
Ability to identify and question implied assumptions, and exploit faulty assumptions to improve processes. Work with a wide variety of personalities in many parts of the organization and anticipate their point of view.
Ability to influence the business to transform/change current state
Strong verbal and written communication skills to communicate problems, solutions, and step by step instructions on how to implement them
