FX Client Manager description
The custody foreign exchange platform and suite of solutions are developed and managed in partnership between Investor Services and the Corporate & Investment Bank.  The business covers all aspects of the Foreign Exchange product including execution & settlement, product management & development, technical sales & relationship management and reporting & analytics. 
Within Investor Services, the global Foreign Exchange (FX) Client Management team is responsible for ensuring that FX solutions are provided to the Custody and Fund Services institutional client base globally.  The Foreign Exchange Client Management team is responsible for managing existing FX relationships, including activity reviews that focus on pricing & execution methodologies, operational efficiencies, and transparency, as well as discussing client strategies and how J.P. Morgan’s FX solutions will deliver value to our clients. The FX Client Management team also provides clients with insight and perspective regarding industry trends and market events.
Position Summary
As a member of the FX Client Management team, your primary responsibilities will be supporting two senior executives in the Americas region and collaborating with global teammates in respect of managing client relationships, generating client facing materials, delivering solutions and managing client requests and inquiries.  The right candidate will also have the opportunity to own client relationships as a primary point of contact on the team. In addition to covering existing clients in a product specialist capacity, a key component of the role will be monitoring service standards and ensuring the highest levels of client satisfaction, all while focusing on creating and delivering client solutions to defend existing business or generate incremental business.  
The candidate will be based in New York.
Key drivers for performance in this role will be measured by the ability of the candidate to learn all aspects of our product and solutions suite to become a subject matter expert, as well as the ability to develop deep relationships with clients, influencing behaviors and ensuring client satisfaction.  The candidate must also be able to communicate effectively internally across various teams and partners, including traders, product managers, operations, client service and the primary sales and relationship management teams.
Core responsibilities will include:
  • Covering relationships, with primary focus on Asset Manager and Insurance clients, and cross-over into the Asset Owner segment
  • Ensuring high quality service standards are consistently met for each relationship
  • Analyzing FX data vis-à-vis client strategies to identify commercially viable opportunities and solutions for J.P. Morgan and our clients
  • Learning about the core FX product offering, alternative execution solutions and the Americas client base, becoming a subject matter expert and product sales specialist
  • Responding to Requests for Proposals, including drafting responses, generating revenue estimates for prospective business, and eventually participating in client sales meetings
  • Preparing standard and non-standard client facing materials using PowerPoint and working with Business Leads, Risk, Legal and Compliance to approve content
  • Managing client inquiries, data requests, onboarding procedures and custom client deliverables
  • Working effectively with internal partners globally in the FX and Custody business lines, including FX client managers, Custody client service and various Product partners
  • Providing clients with updates and insights with respect to product enhancements, industry trends and market events
  • Defending and retaining client volumes and revenues by owning client satisfaction, hosting annual FX reviews and identifying opportunities
  • Ensuring internal systems and set ups for client relationships are correct and in line with contractual agreements
An ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in the Custody and Fund Services industry with a strong working knowledge of Foreign Exchange solutions. 
In addition, the candidate should meet most of the following criteria:
  •  Strong time management skills, with ability to prioritize requests from multiple sources
  • Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong client facing, presentation and relationship management skills, inclusive of sales and negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills across both quantitative and qualitative scenarios
  • Proven ability to develop deep relationships with client contacts over time from front office trading up to senior management
  • Strong subject matter expertise and background in FX and global custody including experience with trading, service, and operations, as well as general exposure to compliance, legal and risk
  • Demonstrated ability to manage both internal and external relationships
  • Proven teamwork and partnership values within a core team and across global partners
  • Proficient with Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint applications
  • Undergraduate or equivalent degree, or higher
