Custody and Fund Services, a division of J.P. Morgan’s Investor Services business, is a global industry leader with $20.5 trillion in assets under custody. J.P. Business Overview & Role Description:
The Fund Services product team support over 40 clients in Asia (ex ANZ) including central banks, sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, insurance companies, banks and investment managers, offering accounting, compliance reporting, performance measurement, risk reporting and other administration services.
Based in Hong Kong, the Fund Services Product Manager will be responsible for achieving overall product objectives, through partnership with Operation, Technology, Product Development, Sales, Client Services, and other stakeholders, to set product strategy, drive product development, provide governance of product delivery, and support business growth.
Accountable for the fund services products in the region with a primary focus on Investment Information Services (IIS), which includes performance measurement, risk reporting and investment compliance reporting, and act as point of contact and partner to Sales, Relationship Management, Client Services and Operation for our clients.
Define regional IIS product strategy and ensure alignment with regional and global business strategy and overall custody & fund services product strategy.
Provide regional governance of IIS products, including management of service change requests, product development, and oversight of product delivery and operational management.
Maintain product collaterals including product definition, product slip sheet and RFP responses, legal agreement, and service level document.
Represent fund services product team to provide sales support in sales pitch, RFP responses, and negotiation of product offering with prospective clients.
Provide subject matter expertise with respect to the fund services products, with understanding of the business and operating models for each of the product components and how the clients utilize these services.
Review and manage product pricing, operation cost-to-serve, and deal profitability.
Gather market intelligence, including regulatory developments, changes to industry practice, and trends of client needs and competitive landscape.
Identify product differentiation opportunities based on product strategy, client feedbacks and market intelligence; define and execute product development plan through partnership with Product Development, Operation, Technology, and other stakeholders.
10+ years in custody industry particularly fund services areas
5+ years in client facing or product management roles
Hands-on experience with performance measurement, risk reporting and investment compliance reporting
Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills
