Department Description:
The Asset Management Technology & Operations Finance team is responsible for partnering and supporting senior technology and operations management and their corresponding Chief Business Technologists and Ops leads.  This highly visible role will focus on supporting AM EMEA Technology & Operations and providing oversight and reporting of financials and articulating those financials to senior management.  Strong technical abilities with knowledge of financial systems and related processes and the ability to tell the story behind the financials will be critical for this role.    
Role and Responsibilities:
  • Monthly financial reporting, analysis, oversight and review of results
  • Partner with CTO’s, Operations managers, and central Finance team to articulate and present financial results in a cohesive manner and provide ad-hoc analysis whenever required
  • Create and present decks to senior management that clearly articulate the financial story and strategy
  • Assist with the coordination and maintenance of AM Technology project portfolio and recurring financial forecasts working with key technology and finance staff
  • Perform month-end financial close including analysis of accruals, expenses in general ledger and headcount
  • Budgeting and forecasting at a detailed organization and account line level managing multiple views
  • Produce various monthly reporting including expense, headcount trends and other key business metrics
  • Invoice / Payments management and strategic vendor reporting
  • Balance Sheet management including fixed assets, capitalization, and WIP accounts
  • Liaise with various corporate groups related to indirect / services rendered allocations
  • Develop/maintain project level financial reporting including a strategic investment portfolio
  • Identify opportunities and recommend improvements for increased reporting efficiencies
  • Special projects and ad-hoc analyses as requested
Skills / Competencies Needed:
  • Bachelors degree required – degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics preferred
  • 5+ years experience in financial management / accounting environment
  • Advanced systems skills required including knowledge of Excel, Essbase and PowerPoint, and experience with SAP and Clarity preferred
  • Detail oriented individual capable of completing reporting and analytics accurately, on a timely basis, and in a presentable manner
  • Capacity and desire to work both at a strategic and detailed analysis level
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills necessary
  • Ability to present information in a clear and concise manner that tells the story behind financials in a compelling way
  • Individual must be able to work independently as well as in a team situation
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi task
  • Self motivated individual to go beyond immediate responsibilities
