The Firmwide Regulatory Reporting & Analysis (FRRA) organization resides within Corporate Finance. FRRA is responsible for the execution and delivery against the Firm’s regulatory reporting requirements to its U.S. regulators.   FRRA has end-to-end responsibility for US regulatory reporting and capital stress testing, including the design, implementation, and oversight of the execution, analysis, and control and governance frameworks.  Its mandate includes determining the appropriate investment in people, processes and technology to improve the accuracy, completeness and consistency of the Firm’s US regulatory reporting and capital stress testing submissions, as well as the implementation of new requirements and guidelines as they are published.

 

The objectives of FRRA are to provide leadership on all aspects of US regulatory reporting and Firmwide capital stress testing, including internal and regulatory requirements.

 

The Corporate Capital Stress Testing team (CCST) is responsible for managing the Firmwide capital stress testing processes.  As the owner of the Firm’s internal capital adequacy assessment (ICAAP) as well as the Federal Reserve-mandated Comprehensive Capital Analysis & Review (CCAR), the team partners with lines of business (LOB) and Finance and Risk management functions across the Firm to prepare JPMC’s Capital Plan to demonstrate capital strength under stress conditions in order to distribute capital in the coming year.  In addition, the team is responsible for the capital analysis required to support the Firm’s Annual Recovery and Resolution Plans and other internal processes. The team is also responsible for managing the Firm’s communications with regulators on capital planning and stress testing, including providing feedback to Federal agencies on new regulatory requirements. 

The individual will be a member of the Capital Adequacy Planning & Analysis team within Corporate Capital Stress Testing and will contribute to the capital planning and analysis required for the Firm’s Annual Recovery and Resolution Plans. In addition, the individual will partner with colleagues across Corporate Finance, Risk functions and line of business areas. Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Perform detailed analytics for Firmwide Capital to enable senior management to understand key drivers of underlying capital stress testing results required for the Firm’s Annual Recovery and Resolution Plans

  • Contribute to the preparation of Recovery and Resolution Plan narratives related to Capital

  • Support the build-out / automation of capital planning and analysis reporting tools

  • Respond to ad-hoc analytical requests from senior management, other functions, and regulatory agencies

  • Support initiatives to continually improve and enhance existing processes

  • Develop an understanding of JPM’s regulatory requirements and processes

The position offers good visibility into strategic capital management initiatives as well as the unique opportunity to understand initiatives from a Firmwide perspective.  The team has significant visibility to senior management as the projects are regularly used by senior management in their discussions with the Operating Committee, the Board of Directors and the Firm’s regulators.


Candidate Requirements:               

The candidate must be a self-starter who is able to work in a fast paced, results driven environment

  • Strong analytical and financial skills with a track record of execution against deliverables

  • Knowledge of balance sheet, income statement and basic accounting concepts preferred

  • Prior Basel regulatory capital experience (e.g. Basel I/II/III) preferred

  • Ability to multi-task and be hands on in a fast paced environment to meet deadlines under pressure

  • Excellent oral & written communication and relationship management skills

  • Creative self-starter with strong initiative, ability to take ownership and work independently as well as contribute to the broader team

  • Ability to multi-task and be hands on in a fast paced environment to meet deadlines under pressure

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Strong Excel and Powerpoint skills - VBA a plus)

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Finance, Accounting or related field preferred (3- 5 years relevant experience)
