As a senior member of a high-performance team, you’ll be immersed in all the elements of Software Development Lifecycles- design, development, integration, operation, support and testing of infrastructure services. You’ll ensure team goals are met and best practices, architectural design standards, data, risk and security management policies are adhered to. You’ll be instrumental in designing, developing and testing code, solving more difficult technical issues, developing integration elements, building data models, APIs, and open 3rd-party SDKs. You’ll see your ideas come to life as part of a small, success-driven team. Service Reliability Engineer is a highly technical role on the Service Reliability Engineering Team, responsible for operating the cloud platforms and developing and implementing the operational tools and processes necessary to improve reliability.  Cloud operations include deployment and maintenance of the platform infrastructure as well as diagnosis and remediation of support issues, or escalation to Core Engineering or Client Engagement where appropriate.  The Service Reliability Engineer is expected to drive technical innovation and efficiency in infrastructure operations via hands on development of tools and automation and by providing feedback and design contributions to the portfolio of cloud products.
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
  • Deployment, upgrade, configuration and maintenance of the cloud platform.
  • Development and documentation of mechanisms for deployment, monitoring and maintenance
  • Diagnosis and remediation of service level issues and engagement with internal support and engineering teams and third party suppliers as required
  • Development and operation of support tools for control, instrumentation and investigation.
  • Development and execution of tests to measure and ensure levels of availability and performance
Requirements:
  • Infrastructure engineering with experience on Linux, x86 hardware, networking (DNS, Routing, Switching) and storage technologies
  • Experience with Public Cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, etc.
  • Experience with automation tools (Ansible/Puppet or Chef), IDEs (Eclipse), Source Code Management (GIT/Stash)
Nice to Have Skills:
  • Familiarity with the ELK, Splunk, or other analytics stacks a plus
  • Experience with a high level programming languages like Python, go or Java a plus
  • Experience with data services like MySql databases or Messaging a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.  Advanced degree a plus
