This role will support activities for developing, implementing and administering the Firm’s executive compensation policies, programs, and initiatives.
 
Key responsibilities:
  • Support all aspects of the preparation and distribution of materials for meetings of the Board of Directors and the Compensation & Management Development Committee (CMDC)
  • Contribute to the development of the Compensation Discussion & Analysis section of the proxy statement
  • Support shareholder outreach efforts relating to Say-on-Pay and other compensation-related proposals
  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of current and potential executive compensation programs.
  • Monitor peers’ compensation programs, industry trends, compensation-related media articles, and SEC filings (e.g. proxy statements; annual reports; 8-Ks; Form 4s) to ensure external market competiveness
  • Review financial statements and assess the financial performance of the Firm and our competitors
  • Monitor policies and pay-for-performance methodologies of proxy advisory firms (e.g. ISS and Glass Lewis), conduct pay-for-performance simulations, and provide analysis of voting policies of institutional investors
  • Maintain optimal knowledge of all SEC and IRS regulations for all compensation programs
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts to ensure compliance with compensation-related legal regulations
  • Provide analytical support for ad hoc research and other related executive compensation projects as identified by the Board, the Compensation & Management Development Committee, and/or management
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree in a business-related field, ideally with an emphasis in human resources, finance, economics, statistics, mathematics, or accounting
  • Minimum of 2-3 years in either compensation or finance is preferred, with a demonstrable track record of leadership and initiative – executive compensation-related consulting experience is strongly preferred
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience working with Excel and PowerPoint is a requirement
  • Strong reading comprehension skills in order to accurately review and succinctly summarize public filings (e.g. proxy statements; annual reports)
  • Candidates will need to demonstrate a deep interest in the field of executive compensation
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and writing skills are required.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage several projects and executive tasks in a high pressure environment
