Job Description:
The Operational Risk Group (ORG) is an independent risk group within Risk Management that reports to the Firm’s Chief Risk Officer and is responsible for developing, maintaining, and ensuring adherence to the Firm's Operational Risk Management Framework (ORMF).  The Corporate Operational Risk group (COR) develops policies and standards to direct LOBs/Corporate Functions on how to manage and mitigate the operational risk inherent in their activities, improve understanding of the firm's operational risk exposure, drive improvements in the firm-wide control environment, comply with regulatory requirements, and establish best practices to eliminate or minimize operational losses or damage to the firm's reputation. 
COR is looking for a Vice President to support its firm-wide responsibility for coordinating the COR Reference Data Management function.  This VP will report directly to the manager of the COR Reference Data Team and act as the manager's backup on key Reference Data activities.  This individual will also join other COR Reference Data Team members focusing on change management coordination, Reference Data analysis and strategic rationalization and enhancements, close coordination with Oversight & Control and multiple groups across LOBs and Corporate Functions that are the end users of COR Reference Data and implementation of approved changes.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as back-up to the COR Reference Data manager.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to more junior team members.
  • Provide support and reference data guidance to end users such as LOBs, Corporate Functions and firm wide programs.
  • Partner with O&C, RCSA Central team and Control Officers to discuss Reference Data needs and impacts to the RCSA program.
  • Help maintain the COR Reference Data, including the Master Process Hierarchy, Control and Risk Libraries and Issue and Root Cause types. 
  • Conduct analysis for the strategic rationalization, simplification and enhancement of the Reference Data Libraries.
  • Support the COR Reference Data Change Management Process, including organization of Ref Data Governance Forum meeting materials and minutes, liaison with requestors of change requests from LOBs and Corporate Functions, data usage and impact analysis related to changes.
  • Conduct UAT testing and production updates to the COR Reference Data in the FORCE application and COR Reference Data Libraries for approved requests.
  • Create monthly scorecard metrics for senior management reporting.
  • Update the RAU-RCSA Structure, a critical mapping that supports the Firm wide RCSA program, and update the monthly Reconciliation Report produced for the mapping.
  • Conduct annual reconciliation and rationalization of COR Reference Data.
  • Establish general or specific procedures, as needed, to govern the management of the COR Reference Data.
  • 7-10 years of experience in financial services; Operational Risk experience a plus.
  • Strong client focus, organizational, time management, and decision making skills
  • Ability to be flexible, organize, and prioritize work
  • Self starter; ability to work independently
  • Strong data analysis skills
  • Strong experience in MS Office, particularly Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Strong interpersonal and consensus building skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skill
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects, strong project management and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to develop constructive relationships with other groups
  • High level of professionalism, ethics, self-motivation and sense of urgency
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, finance or related field.
