This position is in the Chase Student Loan and Chase Auto Finance Business Systems Analysis team.  This team is responsible for conducting technical business analysis and converting requirements from the businesses (Auto and Student) into functional specification documents and artifacts.  The BSA's will work closely with SME's from the businesses, IT project managers, applications developers and software testers to deliver high-quality application software solutions to the Auto and Student Finance businesses.
 
 
As a Business Systems Analyst supporting Auto Finance and Student Lending IT, you will assist and guide business partners in developing business requirements, write functional specification documents, and provide testing support, including phase-specific test planning and end-to-end project test strategy development. You will work closely with the application development teams and participate in design discussions. Additional functions include the identification and assessment of proposed changes, advising the business on options, risks, costs, and conducting research to determine if a business need solution exists within or outside the business unit.
  • 5+ years experience as a business analyst within a technology organization
  • 5+ years experience in BA techniques such as process models, data flow diagrams, or other diagramming tools and models
  • 3+ years experience/understanding use case modeling; skillful with scenario-based analysis and use case-driven design techniques
  • College degree, or specialized training or equivalent work experience   
  • 5+ years experience in business systems analysis functions or equivalent of programming and business analysis
  • 2+ years experience using Agile Methodology
  • Knowledge of Auto Originations (ACAPS/LMAP) required

                                                                                                                                                                       

 
Preferred Skills:
  • Strong analytical skills and writing skills, to include solid experience in writing functional and technical specifications   
  • Proven ability to work closely with the business and translate business needs into functional specifications    
  • Strong experience in software testing functions   
  • Experience defining test strategy for all applicable phases of the SDLC, including test scenarios/acceptance criteria
  • Excellent problem solving skills  
  • Advanced skill level with SDLC processes     
  • Highly motivated and self-directed
  • Strong ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize work efforts
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a team player; leading the group to develop alternative solutions to complex problems
