This role owns vital Productivity and Performance metrics that inform and drive a smarter, faster, better way of doing business across the Commercial Real Estate (CRE) organization. The individual who fills this role is a business intelligence expert, driving a consistent approach to executing against established productivity metrics and regularly influencing Senior Leaders across the organization. The ideal candidate possess a proven background in establishing metrics that drive efficiency, has expertise in advanced reporting/analytics tools and techniques, and has a strong aptitude for analyzing complex data sets to deliver high quality reporting to senior managers. Key responsibilities include capacity modeling, productivity analysis and evaluation, and headcount planning. Requires ability to clearly disseminate information and build concise, insightful presentations.
Develop and report key operational metrics (including activity-based cost models) and business drivers from the individual through department levels in partnership with business, aligning with operational goals
Identify and pursue opportunities for automation, improvement and coordination
Own the CRE Monthly Productivity Report and Dashboard
Oversee the business capacity and gearing model to ensure appropriate business readiness and staff utilization relative to expected volume patterns
Compile information from a variety of sources to effectively tell the story of the mid year and year end headcount plan and budget
Provide regular and ad hoc executive level reporting
Ensure that key deliverables are timely and of a high degree of quality
Liaison with other reporting and analytics teams (internal to Commercial Banking and external) to obtain needed information to tell the story
5+ years of working with capacity/ gearing models
5+ years of analysis and presentation experience
3+ financial planning and forecasting experience
Strong data analysis/quantitative/technical aptitude with ability to quickly learn new metrics, processes, and datasets
Experience with activity-based cost modeling
Ability to work cross-functionally & influence
Excellent communication ability with strong attention to detail
Expert level ability in all MS Office tools (Excel, Pivot Tables, Access, VBA, PowerPoint)
Experience developing complex Excel-based models
Experience with Qlik, Qlikview, Tableau, or other Business Intelligence Software
Understanding of industry data extraction standards (SQL, Oracle, Excel, Access)
A Bachelor's Degree with major in related field
