Department Description:
The Financial Information Reporting Solutions (FIRS) org is responsible for providing accurate, complete and consistent data for aggregation and analysis in support of critical regulatory requirements to the FRB, OCC, FDIC, and FFIEC.  This group supports the line of business external reporting teams, Corporate Financial Reporting (CFR) and Firmwide Regulatory Reporting & Analysis (FRRA). Our goal is to continuously improve the reporting process through enhancements to the control environment and to improve the operating model.
The External Reporting Strategy and Analytics (ERSA) team sits within FIRS, and is responsible for supporting critical quarter-end reporting controls and readiness activities in the end-to-end reporting processes, and for the development, implementation and production of KPIs across External Reporting Operations and partner groups within Corporate Finance. 
External Reporting Analyst
The External Reporting Analytics Analyst will support the Team lead to help drive automation, enhancement, and production relative to these key responsibilities:
  • Support weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting, delivering metrics to measure progress against key initiatives across the business
  • Data quality management and analysis to ensure exceptional data quality and reporting output
  • Support strong data governance and management and focus on application security compliance.
  • Follow all quality assurance processes, including periodic reviews and transitions and ensure the end product fulfills the project objectives.
  • Apply critical thinking to troubleshoot issues, proactively identify and develop new ideas / innovations that will add value to the business and team
  • Work collaboratively with team members and senior management in the development and implementation of varying projects and/or initiatives
This role requires strong operational/process management skills to support multiple diverse processes within defined timelines while maintaining procedural and control discipline. In addition to daily execution of BAU reporting, the role will also support various strategic initiatives and delivering innovative solutions to help solve both simple and complex challenges.  
Qualifications & Required Skills
The candidate for this position must have the following qualifications and skill set to perform this role:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business/Finance, MIS, or Computer Science related disciplines
  • 1-3 years of business analyst experiences in operation, service quality, or information technology
  • Advanced experience and knowledge of core Microsoft Office application suite (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint).  Prior experience with data capture (SharePoint), data delivery (Qlikview, Tableau), and data store methodologies preferred.
  • Strong technical, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Good communication abilities, both written and oral
  • Ability to work in teams and to interface with senior management and staff
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment; including strong time-management and prioritization skills
  • Comfortable working independently in a dynamic and challenging environment
  • Availability to support Quarter-end close schedules which may require extended hours
