The Compliance Associate position will report to an Executive Director within the CIB Global Financial Crimes Compliance KYC Advisory Group.  Responsibilities for the position will include:
      Provides Customer Due Diligence (CDD) /Know-Your-Customer (KYC) compliance advisory support on matters involving the JPMorgan’s Global KYC Standards, including regulatory and policy interpretations and clarifications, change requests, CDD system changes, and exception approvals for client-specific matters
      Provides feedback on proposed policies and policy implementation relating to CIP/CDD/KYC
      Participates in US based KYC-related regulatory exams, compliance testing and internal audit matters
      Reviews/approves CIB NA KYC procedures
      Participates in regional and global level projects and initiatives, partnering with other teams both within and outside of GFCC
  • Review negative media, internal watch list and PEP escalations
  • Conduct research using available internal and external applications to gather information needed to address regulatory or investigations inquiries
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience with USA PATRIOT Act, Bank Secrecy Act and/or AML regulations, with solid background in CIP/CDD/KYC
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and research skills
  • Excellent analytical, planning, problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office; Excel, PowerPoint skills, with ability to use metrics to create slides, charts and graphs
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, leadership, and relationship management skills 
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues and work in a team-oriented environment
  • Strong project management skills, includes interaction with senior levels of management, ability to produce quality results timely
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with individuals across business and/or functional lines required.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities to meet business needs.
