Wealth Management Operations Summary
Wealth Management Operations supports the JPMorgan Private Bank in JP Morgan’s Asset Management line of business. The Private Bank is the world’s premier service provider for ultra and high net worth individuals. Our goal is to help these affluent individuals across the globe optimize their wealth, after taxes and across generations. Global Wealth Management Operations provides end-to-end support for all aspects of the client experience, working closely with client service, fiduciary, product specialty groups, third party vendors and other internal groups


Client Onboarding – AML / KYC Business Initiative Team
The business initiative team is responsible for governance of the AML / KYC program within wealth management and the end-to-end implementation of AML, KYC, or Sanctions policy changes or new Global Financial Crimes Compliance (GFCC) initiatives.  Sitting within the line of business, the business initiative team has a key role in the first line of defense. 
The Business Initiative Executive Director will be expected to become an expert in JPM’s AML / KYC and Sanctions policies, how the policies impact Wealth Management and how Wealth Management complies with polices.  The incumbent will interact frequently with GFCC, Senior leaders in onboarding, Regional Business Managers, Technology, Audit, Exam Management, and outside regulators.

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Become subject matter expert on AML / KYC policy and applicability to Wealth management
  • Take ownership of new work-streams to define operating models or requirements
  • Analyze and synthesize information from multiple sources to create solutions and define next steps with milestones, dates, and owners.
  • Establish and run a regular governance forum across key stakeholders groups
  • Lead and coordinate working groups, business forums, governance and steering committee meetings
  • Partner with key business and technology representatives in order to drive business requirements, testing and overall delivery
  • Responsible for Issue Management, Escalation and Remediation
  • Partner with global stakeholders to determine strategic direction of the business model
  • Maintain effective communication with stakeholders and business partners with the purpose of informing interested parties on all key milestones, accomplishments, programs, activities and overall successes.
  • Establishing and adhering to a fully auditable framework aimed at maintaining a standardized process for the program
Required Skills/Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 10+ years of industry experience – preferably within wealth management
  • Candidate must enjoy working in a fast-paced and demanding environment and must be a strategic, conceptual and analytical thinker
  • Proactive control and risk management, addressing gaps in processes and escalating issues to benefit the business and clients in a dynamic environment
  • Drives critical thinking and proactively seeks out best practices, anticipates clients’ future needs and collaborates on ideas with others. Understands clients’ needs and impact on relationship across J.P. Morgan.
  • Proactive and responsive communicator, maintaining frequent contact with business partners, listening to understand needs, and taking ownership of incoming and outgoing messages 
  • Excellent in project management disciplines and an ability to instill structure, process, accountability, delivery and client-focus
  • Excellent strategic influencing and interpersonal skills, comfort in working with people at all levels across all functions
