Global Custody Product Management EMEA
 
Global Custody Product Management is responsible for the strategy, end to end ownership, governance and P&L of the Global Custody business. This is a broad based all-encompassing role.
 
The team is global, with regional management across EMEA, WHEM and APAC.
 
The role is a critical business function focussing on the end to end ownership, product definition and our ability to deliver a first class service to the world’s most important clients.
 
The role reports to the EMEA head of Custody.
 
Position Summary
 
The role will be responsible for the governance and control of the Global Custody product whilst working closely with internal teams to support new and existing clients to maximise revenue and profitability of the business. End to end ownership is critical, this role will require working with operations, legal, compliance, technology and all of the functional teams across the bank to ensure the business is operating efficiently and on target to achieve its key financial and strategic objectives.  Specific duties will include:
  • Ownership of the core Custody Product definitions
  • Understanding client requirements and working internally with product development to help deliver the client change agenda
  • Multiple ‘business as usual’ projects and business enablement initiatives
  • Governance of the end to end operating control including designing, building and owning operating metrics
  • Client profitability analysis by segment, product, country
  • Driving client revenue and efficiencies and oversight of receivables
  • Supporting client RFI’s, RFP’s and due diligence responses
  • Optimising client pricing models including unit cost analysis
  • Assisting with Custody Client segment strategy
  • Support of the Global Custody controls agenda including CASS, CMAR, audits etc.
  • Strategic financial planning for New, Incremental, Lost and Repriced deals
Requirements
  • Deep understanding or knowledge of the industry, ideally gained from either within operations, product management or the relationship / client service organisation
  • Ability to demonstrate inclusion of risk and control parameters in daily activities
  • Logical, commercially minded and able to think strategically
  • Ability to leverage a large matrix run organisation to implement change
  • Strong presentation skills, excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication, influencing and relationship building skills, ability to partner effectively
  • Experience working across multiple business areas and/or functions to deliver results
  • Strong problem solving skills, good critical thinking and decision-making skills based upon fact and business/industry knowledge
  • Ability to work independently and multitask in a fast paced environment
