Chase Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) serves nearly 60 million households and 4 million small businesses with a broad range of financial services, including personal banking, small business banking and lending, mortgages, credit cards, payments, auto finance and investment advice.
Consumer & Community Banking consists of the following lines of business:

Consumer Banking serves customers at 5,200 branches in 23 states, 16,000+ ATMs, online, through mobile and by phone.
Mortgage Banking serves customers primarily through the branches, as well as by telephone and online. Services mortgage loans with combined balances of $845 billion and offers purchase and refinance solutions to first-time and experienced home buyers.
Chase Card Services consists of two businesses: Consumer and Small Business and Commercial Card. The No. 1 credit card issuer in the U.S. based on loans outstanding.

The online and mobile channels for Chase currently support more than 32 million active customers; 9 million customers interact with us daily, making Chase the most visited banking portal in the US. Within Consumer and Community Banking, the Digital IT team is responsible for setting and executing strategies that align with business objectives and drive innovation across Chase Online and Mobile, helping to establish the best Digital banking customer experience in the industry.

The Digital Business Services team within CCB is chartered with managing and directing the business services supporting major externally facing application components (web and native mobile apps) focusing on the discipline of functional delivery in the area of customer login, enrollment, product enrollment, and data sourcing across the JPMorgan Chase & Co. enterprise.

The Chase CCB Digital team is responsible for enhancing the desktop/mobile/tablet experiences for our current and prospective Chase customers. The Digital Technology Team is looking for a Scrum Master with strong technical skills and thorough understanding of the agile development process. We are building best in class Digital applications and API’s. As a Scrum Master, you are expected to be a team facilitator and be responsible for bringing the team together to deliver and to drive Agile practices to maturity.  You have a passion for creating the best user experience possible.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Making sure a Scrum team lives by the values and practices of Scrum
  • Coach the team
  • Facilitating Sprint Ceremonies
  • Helping the Product Owner get the backlog in good shape for the upcoming sprints
  • Facilitate the removal of impediments
  • Protects the team from over-committing
  • Protects the team from complacency
  • Leads the teams efforts towards continuous improvement
  • Facilitate developer accountability for readiness of user stories
  • Maintain team focus throughout sprints on priorities and business value
  • Manage all Scrum boards (physical and virtual)
  • Manage sprint backlog items and tasks
  • Remove obstacles for developers and testers
  • Use key Scrum metrics (burndown, velocity) to help deliver committed work
  • Empower the team to make system and process improvements captured in sprint retrospective meetings
  • Build the team’s Agile knowledge and skills
  • Foster a culture of continuous delivery
  • 10+ years of overall experience in information technology and 2+ years of experience working  as a Scrum Master
  • Demonstrated experience working with the following tools: Jira, WIKI, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio
  • Proven experience with Agile practices and methodologies  
  • Excellent understanding of development concepts and SDLC methodologies
  • Strong customer focus, excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with other specific Agile/Lean practices such as XP or Kanban
  • Participation in Test Driven Development or Business Driven Development
  • Practice of Continuous Integration or Continuous Delivery
