  • Responding to the evolving regulatory environment and helping to meet the firm’s regulatory commitments by addressing internal and external commitments
  • Advancing the firm’s Roadmap programs -- Single Sourcing of data, Architecture Convergence, and Rationalization of Platforms
  • Adopting industry leading technologies to support best-in-class business capabilities for high performance computing and data storage solutions
  • Driving innovation across the firm’s corporate technology portfolio, increasing efficiencies through process automation, and Agile application development, with an emphasis on user experience and shorter development cycles
  • Investing in security & controls for cyber, access/entitlements uplift, data protection and application resiliency
Legal Technology (LT) is part of Corporate Technology’s Compliance & Legal Technology organization, which delivers technology solutions to support Legal as they advise the business on applicable laws, regulations and rules that govern our business globally, and assess and measure compliance and related risks, and monitor and test the adequacy of the firm's compliance control environment.  Legal Technology is the steward for the design, build and management for the firm’s Legal Technology portfolio across all Lines of Business and global regions.  Legal Technology is responsible for partnering with our clients on evolving business capabilities, improving end user experience with our solutions and services, and ensuring that we continue to provide continuous improvement on the systems that are relied upon across the firm.  Legal Technology supports legal functions covering Matter & Spend Management, eDiscovery Platform Services, Knowledge Management and Lifecycle Management.
 
 
Legal Technology (LT) is looking for an Executive Director / eDiscovery Operations Team Manager reporting directly to the Global Department Head. The individual will be responsible for day to day management and oversight of a team conducting collection and/or preservation of digital information across a variety of assets.
Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of 10+ resources focusing on the collection and preservation of data for legal and regulatory matters.
  • Partner with metrics and reporting to identify analytics for capacity planning, process efficiencies and other ad-hoc and customized reporting.
  • Manage team workload to meet SLAs.
  • Identify strategy for supporting scalability.
  • Provides eDiscovery and/or operational management subject matter expertise.
  • Acts as a liaison between client area and technical organization by planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of complex business problems
  • Implement process documents and checklists; continually search for ways to improve existing processes
  • Memorialize process, findings, changes and results for future reference, ensure procedures are accurate, communicate the information, share information on lessons learned to mitigate future risk
  • Drive improvements to processes through lessons learned to mitigate future risk
  • Review existing processes and partner with internal team members as well as key IT and business partners
  • Define/drive project requirements and deliverables by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements
  • Evaluate/support Operations, Risk, Portfolio, and Information Management initiatives
  • Communicate projects in a way that stakeholders understand status, risks, and decision points
  • Translate complex technical issues to a non-technical audience

Qualifications:

  • Is recognized as a leader and provides feedback and strategic recommendations to management
  • 5+ years managing in an operations environment; preferably eDiscovery, litigation
  • Influences and leads development of innovative improvements
  • Very strong analytical, problem solving, and creative thinking skills
  • Strong data analysis, both quantitative and qualitative using operational metrics and trending analysis.
  • Exposure to eDiscovery, Legal and regulatory requirements
  • Resilient interpersonal and cross-departmental partnering skills
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to evoke a sense of urgency and work well under pressure
  • Proficient in knowledge of Boolean queries/Keyword searching in a regulatory archive.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage escalations quickly and efficiently.
  • Strong PowerPoint, Word, and Excel skills.
