JPMorgan Chase & Co.’s Corporate Sector Finance group provides financial management and reporting support for Global Real Estate, Enterprise Technology, Compliance, Legal, Corporate Finance, Human Resources, Risk Management, Audit, Executive and other staff areas.
 
The Global Real Estate (GRE) Finance team sits within Corporate Sector Finance. It is comprised of finance professionals across the globe who are accountable for managing both the expense & capital components of the GRE business function, ensuring a sound control environment, measuring performance, providing value-added analyses, and presenting information and ideas to senior management within Global Real Estate, to the major lines of business, and to the various Firm-wide finance teams who roll up the results of the entire Corporation. The team covers all aspects of managing the firm’s $2.1B expense, 45mm square foot office portfolio including, but not limited to, space management, property management, lease administration, design & construction, transactions, and portfolio management.
 
This role within the Location Strategy Analytics domain will partner closely with the Location Strategy & Advisory team and focus on developing innovative real estate and workforce analytics to help make informed decisions and drive the firm’s location strategy. Typical projects requiring analytics and reporting (not exhaustive) include:
  • Trending models that inform capital decisions based on demand and financial data
  • Seat demand plan implications for financial planning, allocations, and capital investment decision
  • Building utilization metrics to assess utilization and efficiency across key locations
  • Scenario analyses to optimize real estate portfolio and business footprint
  • Workforce analytics integrating key location, employee, function and economic data
  • Vacancy reduction initiatives to drive occupancy optimization
  • Trending models based on mobility data and labor market statistics to help support strategy decisions

Responsibilities
 
Core Analytics Design and Development
  • Design and structure quantitative and qualitative analyses
  • Assess current reporting processes and propose enhancements
  • Synthesize impactful findings, develop recommendations and deliver documents with minor guidance / editing; present recommendations to management
Cross-functional Collaboration
  • Partner with cross functional teams within lines of business and real estate
  • Support the implementation of key business decisions and change efforts
  • Deliver presentations with ability to recognize and incorporate feedback
Team Leadership
  • Support multiple projects and reporting needs by working with team across the globe
  • Creates work plans and manages expectations and quality standards for required deliverables
  • 2-4 years of extensive experience in data analytics and / or financial or statistical modeling
  • Strong academic background from a top-tiered program
  • Ability to structure problems and apply analytical tools to develop solutions
  • Keen attention to details and demonstrated ability to quality check work
  • Superior analytical ability with experience in collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing large datasets
  • Ability to multitask and handle high stress while maintaining accuracy in tight deadlines
  • Proficient in Excel (e.g., array formulas, pivot tables, index/match, familiar with VBA)
  • Familiar with SQL, Alteryx, SAS, Stata, or another programming language and willing to learn new programs and techniques
  • Experience building and developing Tableau dashboards preferred
  • Strong team player and interpersonal skills
