As a senior leader in Infrastructure Engineering, you'll be the visionary responsible for developing the roadmap for the computing platforms, servers, and networks, which means your work will have a day-to-day impact on customers, clients and businesses around the globe.   Your expertise in infrastructure technology, architecture design, and performance monitoring, will be essential in guiding a team that delivers multiple IT projects on time and within budget. The Global Technology Configuration Management Engineering / Architecture Lead role works  in the Global Configuration Management and Automation team which is part of the Core Foundation Services organization in Global Technology. They create and develop strong partnerships across the Global Technology Organization, Cyber Security and all the Lines of Business across JP Morgan Chase. This lead strives to understand the departmental stakeholder requirements that drive the analysis, design and implementation of quality enterprise technical solutions. These solutions must be aligned with industry best practice, highest security and compliance standards and JPMC strategies.
 
The ideal candidate must be able to adjust to constant business and delivery adjustments and have an agile approach using iterative delivery.  Common types of changes include new requirements, evolving goals and strategies, and emerging technologies.
This role requires the ability to interact an influence, understand modern development, understand infrastructure engineering, and communicate collaboratively at the highest technical levels with clients, vendors, partners, and all levels of JPMC Global Technology and Cross-Line of Business technical, and non-technical teams.
The successful candidate will be a service-oriented leader with the strong communication skills, an eye for details, and a passion for data and problem-solving.  
While the successful person will enjoy coding and engineering, they would want to balance that with their interest in business, security, keeping in the forefront of what is happening in the technology industry.
They think critically to tackle complex challenges, thrive in a fast-paced supercharged dynamic environment and are seeking a high-visibility, high-growth opportunity where they will have an immediate impact on day one.  Doing all this is a challenge enough, doing it all for an immense technical environment like JPMC with over 150,000 OSIs and thousands of technologies while we are trying to add cloud into the mix is a new plateau.
 
Responsibilities :
  • Works on complex, major or highly visible tasks in support of multiple projects that require multiple areas of expertise.  Some may link to existing fields of expertise some may be totally new.
  • Works as a project team member or as a project lead, driving and tracking delivery across owned
  • Works on projects that may span a broad range of applications and technologies.
  • Supports multiple applications at various stages of their lifecycle
  • Leads / drives complex projects/programs that require multiple areas of expertise.
  • Works closely with architects to assure all systems are in line with IS&T’s long-term strategy.
  • Creates technical design specifications and assists in sizing technical requirements.

 

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Programming/Systems or Computer Science or other related field. Or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years of experience working in application or infrastructure development, systems or IT operations.
  • Ability to develop long term very technical architecture strategy with iterative current delivery mapping
  • A very solid understanding of the regulatory requirements and how to implement these controls as part of an architecture
  • Experience designing, developing, testing, and deploying applications/ systems using proven or emerging technologies, in a variety of technologies and environments.
  • Strong grasp of automation tools, Ansible, Hubots, Puppet, ChatOps, SCCM
