The Corporate Technology (CT) organization develops applications and provides technology support for corporate functions across JPMorgan Chase, including Global Finance, Corporate Treasury, Risk Management, Human Resources, Compliance, Legal, and all functions within the Corporate Administrative Office (CAO).
The Reference Data Technology - Account team provides reference data delivery solutions, mastering and distributing Account reference data across the various lines of businesses. We are evolving the many disparate legacy sources of Account data and the tools used to manage this data into a strategic platform with support for the specific needs of a wide variety of JP Morgan’s products and businesses.
The Technology Development Lead will be responsible for the architecture, development and support of applications that form the strategic platform for firm-wide distribution of Account reference data. This role reports to the Chief Business Technologist for Account reference data within the Reference Data Technology team. The candidate will directly manage feature teams and will be responsible for planning, tracking and assigning of work to the team members. The person in this role will be expected to demonstrate technical leadership in the selection of technologies, tools and designs in the evolution of the platform. The Technical Delivery Manager will interact with senior technology and business stakeholders and will be able to articulate the details of technical design to senior architects representing various JP Morgan lines of business. The successful candidate will interact with Chief Data Officers and will provide input into the formulation of data standards and logical data models for the Account reference data domain.
•7+ years relevant technical experience and 3+ years team management
•Excellent analytical, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills coupled with a strong work ethic
•Extensive experience designing and developing mid to large scale Java applications
•Experience managing development teams•Java - Expert-level Java development skills and familiarity with current Java frameworks
•Deeply familiar with Agile methodology and experienced working with and leading Agile teams.
•Experience developing automated tests and implementing continuous integration
•Experience with ETL tools and frameworks such as Informatica, abInitio etc
•Strong database knowledge and experience – Oracle desired - DB2, Sybase, non-relational databases is a plus
• Data modeling experience a plus
•Familiarity with the Account reference data domain a strong plus - areas of focus are reference data pertaining to Investment Banking, Trading Accounts, Settlement Instructions, Cash Accounts
•Experience developing for the Cloud a strong plus
