Job Description:
A successful candidate will demonstrate end-to-end product management with a goal of optimizing product performance and process efficiency.  The individual in this position reports to the Business Banking Product Director for Lending Products and will manage the Chase Business Quick Capital Product. The candidate should also be able to think strategically, create compelling business cases, build consensus with management team, and work across functions to implement projects.  The candidate must have the ability to quickly gain an understanding of Business Banking and its priorities while working in a matrixed environment.  The individual in this position will play an integral role in Digital Lending and FinTech partnerships.
 
Job Description
  • Develop, maintain and enhance Chase Business Quick Capital product roadmaps enabling Chase for Business to be the easiest bank to do business with in the lending space.
  • Influence decisions on market strategy, platform strategy, client engagement and implement innovative technology based solutions at the bank
  • Align and review deliverables related to Chase Business Quick Capital credit policy that require development effort from functional support partners and FinTech partners
  • Functional Partner management:
    • Engage with Service to report on servicing metrics, escalate servicing issues, and engage in any procedures/policy updates from product enhancement that impact servicing
    • Ensure Marketing alignment with Business Strategy vision / goals
    • Key partner in ensuring policy, procedures, and operational controls associated with Chase Business Quick Capital is complied with and reported on accordingly.
  • Implements strategies and tactics designed to increase Chase Business Quick Capital loan balance growth and fee revenue growth in support of financial and business goals
  • This person regularly consults with management and partners with professionals in other Consumer and Business Banking functional areas of the firm to drive initiatives relating to the lending portfolio.
 
The individual must also develop and maintain strong partnerships and programs with the following key partners and teams:
  • Marketing, Legal, Strategy, IT and other functions
  • Servicing / Operations
  • Third Party Oversight / External partner
  • Business Banking Finance and Loan Pricing Group
  • Business Controls, Audit and AML groups
  • Build consensus amongst a wide range of partners including senior management, technology, operations, legal, risk and compliance, and marketing
  • Experience in organizing, researching and analyzing client needs. Candidate should bridge the technical and business worlds, ensuring we are building/delivering  the right products with a combination of vision, market/user/competitor research and usage metrics
  • Experience in product management disciplines doing business analysis, market/user research, owning roadmap, project management, business and project plans
  • Ability to push the status quo and able to strategize, plan and execute on overall product goals
  • Must have strong communication skills
  • Understand key competitors’ services/fees and monitoring changes and new developments
  • Successful candidate will demonstrate end-to-end product management with a goal of optimizing product performance and process efficiency with a client first mentality.
  • Project management experience required; ability to self-manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Ability to think strategically, problem solve, create compelling business cases, build consensus with management team, and work across functions to implement projects. 
  • Ability to quickly gain an understanding of Business Banking and its priorities while working in a matrixed environment. 
  • Must have knowledge of the financial services industry and operations, sales, products, and current regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct financial analysis
  • Experience working with data-driven decision making; must be able to work with large sets of data to pull together conclusions and recommendation
  • Strong verbal, written and executive communication skills with the ability to present to management as well as peers and subordinates
  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master's degree: MBA, MS Economics, or similar degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of general banking experience and at least 4 of those years in Product Management preferred
  • Advanced level of Microsoft Office proficiency, especially Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
