regionally, including identifying and monitoring significant risks and ensuring compliance with operational policies, control procedures, and legal/regulatory requirements. 
This individual will partner with critical stakeholders including Compliance, Technology and Audit to ensure alignment to firm standards. WCOB’s operational risks and controls will be consistently evaluated on an ongoing and independent basis using a risk-based approach to comply with regulatory requirements.  
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain solid knowledge of WCOB policies, procedures, and operating model as well as systems/platforms used to carry out testing activities 
  • Advise on and continually reassess key risks and appropriateness of controls to ensure timely identification of significant risks and issues to support an evolving business & regulatory environment. 
  • Lead and conduct internal control reviews (including pre-emptive tests and targeted process reviews) to validate the effectiveness of key controls in the COB operational processes
  • Perform KYC file level testing to verify the effectiveness of controls and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Execute spot checks for newly identified issues
  • Coordinate the independent validation/testing of Action Plan completion for WCOB regionally
  • Analyze key risks and appropriateness of controls; communicate key messages to management; develop action plans to mitigate control gaps 
  • Synthesize large amounts of information efficiently and effectively into clear and concise messages to be relayed to senior stakeholders
  • Work to tight deadlines, and deliver an accurate product in a very aggressive schedule

 

    • Risk oriented;
    • Strong communication skills - written and verbal in English;
    • Experience creating functional workflows;
    • Experience with manual testing, writing test plans, and reviewing test cases;
    • Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills with the ability to present complex and sensitive issues to senior management in a persuasive manner
    • Self starter who is able to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
    • Work to tight deadlines, and deliver an accurate product in a very aggressive schedule
    • Strong relationship management, influence management, and ability to partner with stakeholders
    • Experience in assessing end-to-end processes to identify operational risk and determine the adequacy of controls
