As part of the Fraud team, you will report into the Executive Director in Mumbai and will be responsible for managing fraud risk analytics, developing and maintaining process standards and performing complex activities with the objective of reducing fraud related losses while balancing customer impact. You would be leading team of 5+ people and will require frequent interaction and communication with cross-functional partners and presentation to managers and executives. The successful candidate will excel at creative thinking and problem solving, be self-motivated, confident and ready to work in a fast-paced energetic environment. You will have project management responsibilities and be responsible for providing coaching and mentoring to group of analytics professional. You will have the functional responsibility of either managing the operations optimization or fraud mitigation function in Mumbai with focus on reducing bad demand and improving efficiency for the business and reducing fraud losses.
 
You will be required to partner with cross-functional teams to drive business innovation & new business development initiatives.  Demonstrate thorough understanding of fraud business and ensure robust controls environment. Directly manage team analysts/associated and provide management direction to foster a high performance environment.
 
Key Activities
 
  • Provides coaching and mentoring to a group(s) of analytic professionals
  • Responsible for the creation, design, analysis and execution specific projects/analytics for assigned functional area
  • Demonstrates effective people management and leadership skills
  • High degree of judgment and independent decision making for complex issues and problem
  • Assigns work, assesses performance, provides coaching/feedback to employees
  • Able to effectively develop team members
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional partners to understand and address key business challenges
  • Providing clear/concise oral and written communication across various functions and levels, inclusive of Operations, IT, and Risk Management
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline; Math, Finance, Statistics, Economics or equivalent work/training is required; advanced degree is preferred
  • 7+ years of related analytical experience / 5+ years of people management skills
  • Proven record in problem solving and business innovation.  Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment 
  • Ability to manage and prioritize projects across cross-functional groups
  • Required experience in multiple card analytic disciplines and a deep understanding of the business to identify cause/effect relationships.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to interact with individuals across departments / functions
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of financial services
  • In depth knowledge of Authorizations capabilities, metrics, and strategy
