Our firm relies on high-calibre people working together effectively. The Human Resources group designs, implements and manages our firm's policies and programs pertaining to global recruiting, learning and development, mobility, diversity, compensation, benefits and employee relations. Members of this group work together with business managers to attract manage and retain top-quality people.
We are currently looking for a motivated HR Generalist, who wants to take his first steps in the HR world. This position is offering a unique opportunity to get a good understanding of the broad field of HR, with additional projects to work on topics in depth.
General Support – Be the first point of contact for managers and employees on general queries, such as HR policies & systems, payroll and benefits.
Transactions & Reporting – Provide day-to-day support to the local HR team by ensuring consistent, accurate and timely transaction processing in HR systems
Project support: Work on core projects and support key HR initiatives such as the employee opinion survey and benefits review. Monitor and drive completion rates of key initiatives where employee and manager input are required.
Administrative support to the Head of HR: Support the head of HR and the team with employment documents (e.g. reference letters), office management, research or presentations.
Experience & Education Requirements
First HR experience preferred.
College degree or equivalent experience (basic knowledge of labour law and social security/taxes required).
Excellent written and oral communication skills in German & English.
Excellent organization and attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple demands and shifting priorities.
Client-service focused team player who operates with a sense of urgency and professionalism (Knows when to escalate matters for appropriate resolution).
Proficient in MS Office particularly with Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point.
Critical thinking and analytical skills; identify issues and trends, develop solutions and/or recommendations to address root cause and mitigate risk to the firm.
Knowledge and understanding of HR or Payroll systems an advantage.
