Role Summary
 
The Office of Legal Obligation (OLO) program is a firm-wide, global initiative that brings together the expertise of Legal, Lines of Business (LOBs), Oversight & Control, Compliance, Risk and other key control functions, to proactively manage regulatory changes in our operations and allow us to trace end-to-end connections between laws, rules and regulations on the one hand, and our policies and procedures that demonstrate compliance on the other.
The JPMorgan Risk Office of Legal Obligations ("OLO") team is responsible for the oversight and management of the Risk End-to-End Legal and Regulatory Process Program (“Program”).  This Program is sponsored at the operating committee level of JPMorgan Chase (“JPMC”).  The JPMorgan Risk OLO team is responsible for developing, deploying, overseeing and reporting of a program that ensures that obligations are drafted and proceed through the process lifecycle to completion and to support an ongoing change management process. This includes building awareness of the program in the Firm and ensuring consistency in global understanding and dissemination of regulatory requirements.
 
The successful candidate will be based in Bournemouth and support the Risk OLO workstream lead by performing Quality Assurance sample testing in-line with pre-defined test scripts, documenting and communication of findings.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
Perform QA sample testing to pre-defined test scripts on a defined periodic basis.
Identify issues that could result in a potential failure.  Perform horizontal testing across Sub-LOBs to identify potential inconsistencies in Performer/Relier tagging and procedure mapping.
As a result of testing identify and document ‘best practices’ for incorporation into subsequent phases of the QA lifecycle.
Produce and maintain QA MIS for communication to Risk OLO Stakeholders & Senior Management.
Foster a culture of collaboration and information sharing for efficient execution; build strong relationships with internal clients Ensure risks & issues are escalated appropriately within the governance structure.
Qualifications
 
  • Background in Risk Management, Controls, Compliance, Audit or QA.
  • Ability to understand and interpret Legal documents and Operational procedures.
  • Very strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Proactive approach to problem solving, owning the issues and having the determination to follow through on tasks /issues.
  • Very strong communications and interpersonal skills; ability to build consensus and history of success working in a team environment.
  • Ability to articulate complex issues concisely and communicate effectively and comfortably at all levels.
  • Flexibility to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities and monitor tight deadlines or unexpected requirement changes.
  • Willingness to ask questions, challenge processes and seek out answers.
  • Highly proficient skills in Excel, PowerPoint, PitchPro, Qlikview.
