The Corporate Finance organization is responsible for ensuring the overall integrity and validity of the financial statements and controls over the transaction cycle. The group performs critical reporting and controls functions for the organization, including legal entity, financial and regulatory, as well as product valuation. The team is also responsible for improving ongoing processes, and ensuring execution and implementation of the overall financial architecture.
Lead the Poland expansion efforts across Global Corporate Finance functions by successfully migrating core finance activities to Warsaw, Poland and develop a standardized framework to ensure operating model consistency across various functions.  
This role will deliver/manage Financial accounting, regulatory reporting & operational professionals to ensure financial and regulatory obligations are being met timely and accurately. Individual will be required to develop and integrate JPMorgan and local cultures to successfully attract and retain talent. Strong relationship management and communication skills are key to success given multiple senior stakeholders from the Global Finance organization and across all Lines of Business (LOB).
  • Provide oversight as the local leader to all Poland based GF&BM teams – this may include but is not limited to strategic planning, process improvement, recruiting, human resource management, and internal client relationship management with senior leadership based in the US and other locations
  • Build a strong transparent culture for staff based on meritocracy; advance the inclusive leadership agenda through diversity, training, performance management, networking, redeployment, job mobility, and  mentoring
  • Engage, motivate and influence direct reports, teams and peers, and enhance overall employee engagement and retention, working in partnership with HR and training teams
  • Monitor key Human Resource issues around hiring, engagement, training, attrition, and overtime that may impact the business
  • Build strong risk awareness and controls by working closely with Business Partners and Risk Control Managers in driving/implementing effective and sustainable control program to pro-actively manage risks to the business
  • People & resource management (e.g. people development, attrition, pipeline/skills monitoring, and training programs).
  • Manage the performance management cycle- Objective setting, development and career planning, performance appraisal and reward & recognition for the team.
  • Partner with Business Analytics team to develop consistent operational and locational key performance and risk indicators
  • Oversight and management of financial control, regulatory reporting and operational roles
  • Build and manage over 400 professionals over a multi-year period
  • Collaborate across geographies with multiple stakeholders
  • Develop/validate consistent process flows, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and across all activities
  • Ensure data integrity by adhering to the internal control policies and procedures. Also, ensuring robust control checks for all the deliverables.
  • Support new business initiatives/projects
  • First point of contact for internal or external audit inquiries, as required.
  • Provide oversight into the Financial Analysis teams based in Poland. Financial Analysis delivers financial and strategic analytics that add business value to the firm and will have the following teams represented in Poland: Economic Scenario Management, Firmwide Planning & Analysis, and Firmwide Forecasting & Analysis, focused on delivery of a centralized forecasting platform

  • Finance, Accounting, Data Analysis and knowledge of regulatory reporting
  • Relevant experience

This role will potentially progress into the Site Lead for Corporate Finance role in approximately 18-24 months as the senior executive responsible for Corporate Finance functions at the Warsaw Corporate Centre with the expectation of playing leadership and culture carrier role for all campus wide initiatives designed to make the Warsaw Corporate Centre (WCC) a best in class strategic hub. These will include the following:
  1. Site Management Committee membership and engagement.
  2. Site Incident Management team membership and engagement.
  3. Leadership / support of Business Resource Groups established at the WCC.
  4. Leadership / support of WCC hub leadership strategy and execution of initiatives across all businesses / functions including the below:
    • Talent, sourcing and recruitment
    • Talent management and mobility
    • Career and Learning Development
    • Diversity and inclusivity
    • Building a WCC internal community
    • WCC marketing and branding
    • WCC volunteerism
