Business Description:

The CIBT Capital Controllers team is a group within the Treasury function in CIB Finance whose primary responsibility is management of the risk weighted assets and capital framework for the Corporate & Investment Bank.  The team provides support to the CIB Capital Committee ensuring businesses’ risk weighted assets are in line with overall capital model, and providing insight into the usage of capital.

 

Clients of the group include corporate counterparts, senior management, business heads, LoB product controllers & planning and analysis. The team works extensively with the CIB LoB controller groups to ensure complete and accurate reporting of risk weighted assets and capital. The group also works closely with the Corporate Finance and Regulatory Capital Management Office to ensure a complete understanding of regulatory landscape and the accurate execution of policies. 

 

Job Description:

The individual will join the CIB Treasury Capital Controllers team to support the Basel III Standardized and Advanced RWA agenda in the CIB. The individual will be heavily engaged in the management of projects that support the CIB RWA and Capital Team portfolio including CIB integration, new rule implementation, and strategic technology implementation.

 
The job is based in New York. 

Responsibilities will include:
  • Manage, establish and lead projects and deliverables.
  • Be  responsible for aspects of operational readiness for project implementation including resource management, analysis (in partnership with other team members as necessary), development coordination, testing support, deployment and training
  • Partner with other CIB Treasury teams to forward the CIB Treasury Agenda.
  • Cooperate with CIB Treasury Project Management team in various strategic and tactical implementation initiatives.
  • Engage on quarter-end related deliverables in partnership with RWA reporting teams as needed. Improve current processes from reporting to data capture: controls, operational efficiencies, data quality, and regulatory policy/ reporting implementation.
  • Liaise with LOB Controllers to socialize Corporate Basel agenda to CIB Finance organization.
  • Maintain the agenda for RWA reporting projects within the CIB Treasury Capital Controller Team (i.e. Capital Desktop).
  • Represent CIB on various projects initiated by Corporate business partners (RCMO, Technology, and FRRA) and integrate the new Basel framework.
  • Own Ad hoc requests for various stakeholders including CIB Senior Management and Corporate business partners.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Accounting, Finance or related experience.
  • Proven ability to successfully manage people
  • Relevant experience in the Financial Services Industry- preferably Regulatory Capital
  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills (Visio knowledge a plus).
  • Project management experience preferred
