Job Description:
The CCB Functional Control Office’s primary function is to collaborate with business partners to design and implement an effective control framework across the CCB functions (Marketing & Communications, HR, Strategy, Digital, Finance and Control Program) to identify & remediate control issues and enhance the overall business process. 
This Control Officer Manager is responsible for the overall success of the Testing Program for the controls focusing on Marketing & Communications, HR and Strategy functions. The role will manage/coach a team that performs control testing, identifies control gaps and provides recommendations to improve controls. 
  • Direct engagement with all levels of management up within CCB Control teams and related business partners
  • Define control test strategy and test plan (with focus in Marketing & Communications, HR and Strategy); develop and execute testing program to identify control weaknesses, determine root causes and recommend solutions.
  • Manage team of 5-6 testing resources (Control Officer Associates/Sr. Associates) to perform control testing, review their work to ensure testing quality, coach and develop team members
  • Report testing results, defects and observations discovered
  • Ensure the timely delivery of different testing milestones
  • Serves as the key contact for testing governance and review
  • Continue to identify process improvement opportunities
  • Support cross-functional testing initiatives



  • Bachelor degree required, M.B.A. a plus.
  • 5+ years experience in Control/Audit/Risk function
  • 5 - 7 years experience in the financial industry preferred
  • Flexibility with the ability to understand nuances in LOB Marketing & Communication control evidence while the LOBs transition to a One Chase process
  • Experience in leading and completing control testing projects from planning, execution and wrap-up
  • Quick to understand the transition process, moving parts; ability to see big picture and understand the core importance
  • Can build strong partnership with control officer and business partners
  • Strong execution and project management
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Familiar with Asset & Liability Management a plus
